Please can anyone let me know what effects Radiotherapy has?  The doctors have now said this could be an option but I am not sure if we should put him through this as I have heard some bad things.  My dad is 73 but has always been in excellent health.  Please has anyone got any advice?????

Has he had surgery?  Did they get it all out?  With glioblastoma there is generally no cure, however, radiation can delay progression especially after a total resection.  The actual Radiation treatments are painless and result in mainly hair loss, skin irritation and maybe some fatigue but are not life threatening.  If his condition progresses then they may be stopped.
