I am 12 years out from stage 4 scc right tonsil/nodes. I have and do have teeth issues, swallowing issues and other issues, but a really bad one is a muscle type cramp I get occasionally on the tumor side of neck that is bad. It pulls as it locks up my neck with excruciating pain. Doc says he is aware of it, but they don`t know what causes it. But we need to remember the lawn mower isn`t on top of us... Ron in Flor...

Never ever give up. Get mad and fight it. Many of us have survived it and so can you. Eat healthy, green tea many times a day, dark berries and walk everyday. DON`T SMOKE!!

I will be 10 years out on Xmas Eve this year. I had stage 4 tosil. It will get better. I still have issues and get pissed everyday wanting to be like I was before cancer. You`ll learn to live with it. You learn to taste differently etc. Have some wine or cold beer and relax.

The treatment now is a lot less invasive than when us that took treatment 9 or 10 years ago and beyond fought through. I will be out 10 years this Xmas Eve. I was diagnosed with Stage IV SCC right tonsil and in nodes. I could not have survived without a particular salve being put on my burned tongue everyday many times. I ate everything I could before treatment and never accepted the peg. Any questions please ask as ...

God Bless you and your mom. She is with God and happy. I am so sorry, but I do believe you will see her again one day. We all lose our moms, but you lost yours too early. I`m sorry.

I had stage 4 SCC right tonsil and lymph nodes. I fought the teeth battle for years. I was told due to the massive amount of radiation I was unable to get even one tooth removed much less implants. The Ann Arbor VA Dental said this. It was wrong. It is a long and expensive process, but had extractions, implants placed and am now done. Don`t let anyone tell you we can`t have implants.

Get him to a different doctor. I had stage 4 SCC right tonsil/lymph nodes. I immediately checked for hospitals with the best averages for cure. I`m 10 years out Xmas eve. I went to the University of Michigan Hospital in Ann Arbor. They were ranks 4th best for tonsil cancer. If not there, M.D. Anderson in Texas. I strongly believe the right hospital is half the battle for success.

Susan, I heard the same stuff. I even checked with a Mexican dentist in Mexico. I finally went to the University of Michigan Dental Prosthedontics and they said they couldn`t believe dentist and VA dentist said I couldn`t get it done.  If you doubt me, call the dental school and ask a Dr. Razzoog, who heads the school, about me. My name in Ron and I am a Vietnam vet that had stage 4 tonsil cancer. He will veri...
