I was just wondering where you are located? I live in Stockton California and I’m 53 years old and have been married for 34 happy years.

I joined to connect with other people who have similar experiences with cervical cancer treatment and life afterwards. Nobody has replied to my request to add a friend or share their stories so I guess I will look elsewhere and discontinue this app.t

I was diagnosed with 2b cancer in January 2017. Tumor was almost 5 cm and deemed inoperable. I was treated with 12 rounds of 2 different chemo drugs in addition to 3months of external beam radiation and two surgeries for brachytherapy. I was told the tumor has shrunk. However I still have abnormal cells showing up on my papTests. I wished I could have had surgery because I feel like it is goin to come back. Learning...

Before I was diagnosed with cervical cancer bleeding after intercourse and pelvic pain were my symptoms. Suggest you get a pap and possible cone biopsy. Good luck

What type of after effects from chemotherapy do you have? I believe I have after effects from chemo and radiation but doctors don’t think so .

                    After Treatment, Emotional Support

I was diagnosed January 12 2017 with stage 1b2 cervical cancer that was deemed inoperable due to the tumor size that was larger than 4 cm. I had a port catheter put in my chest and started radiation and Chemotherapy. Tolerance to radiation was exhausting. Chemo started on Cisplatin which my body could only tolerate 2 rounds and then my creative was 2.8 and my platelet count was under 4. So they gave me transfusions and switched to Gemcitabine which I tolerated better. Then after radiation was done I had brachytherapy. This was done on two separate surgery and it was the worst part of my treatment. It was horrible, both physically and mentally. Did anyone else have this experience?Ever since I cannot stand to use my dilator and have begun to notice vaginal stenosis ??it is now 2019 and doctors say tumor has shrunk. My Pap tests come back abnormal and I continue to be monitored but worry it’s going to come back but grateful to be a Cervivor.
