    Avelumab/Bavencio is a new immunotherapy drug that is showing great promise for neuroendocrine tumors. Ask your dr about getting it through the compassionate use program.  Carrie

      I had high grade poorly diff. Carcinoma. Immunotherapy saved my life. Tell your dr you want to apply for compassionate use for avelumab. This is the newest immunotherapy to be approved. This is what worked for me...

        The drug I was on is now available through prescription. You can also get it through the "Compassionate Use'" program. It is called Avelumab.  Carrie

          Ask your Dr about Bavencio. It is a very powerful drug and was just approved for MCC. There is also a Merkel Cell Google group with over 1100 members. It is a phenomenal resource for us. Carrie Six one four, three nine seven, five eight three five

            Hello there, They just approved a new immunotherapy specifically for MCC. It is called Avelumab. It is a great drug, I was on it... I went from stage IV terminal to being cancer free. It is much easier to do than chemo... Ask your dr about this drug. This drug was also approved for frontline usage rather than making you do chemo first.  Carrie

              Hi Anoop, The drug I was on is called bavencio, it has just been approved for merkel cell carcinoma. You can also get this drug through off label Prescription or through the compassionate use program. Your dr should be able to make either of these things happen for your brother. Bavencio is a pdl-1 drug. Keytruda is another drug that is available as well and it's a pd-1. I wish your brother well... take care Car...

                  I went from stage IV terminal to being cancer free... I did platinum based chemo, taxi land affinitor, prior. I had a poorly differentiated skin cancer called merkle cell carcinoma. They are just starting avelumab in poorly diff Neurocarcinomas. The thing with immunotherapy is that you have to start on them very quickly. Can't wait... They work better when cancer is not spread all over. I know several people with poo...

                    Opdivo would be a great option..: you can also apply for compassionate use for avelumab... Which is what I was on... Both are great options... Carrie
