Thinking of you too and hope the clinical trial works out and stops/slows things. Dave has been trying Creon enzymes for digestion - not sure whether or not it has made a real difference but it can't be hurting. He had issues with vomiting (but not nausea, would just have to bring his meal right back up) after the first round that are now well controlled with the addition of apprepitant at chemo and cannabis oil thr...

Thanks Baloo!! Yes, that's what we're thinking too - everything points to it being effective, we're just hoping that the CT scan confirms that too.  Thanks for the tip! Will definitely try the kaopectate!  Hope you are also doing okay?

I do super appreciate the sharing of info too! An update on our end: Dave had to postpone his late December chemo by 1 week because his white count was too low. It bounced back on its own with the extra week and he did a round at end of December. But then this week he also had to postpone again despite lowering 5FU dose and neupogen shots his count was 1.3 - the oncologist also didn't have previous CT scans to compa...

Thank you so much Baloo, I have seen your posts and read your story and I am so hopeful that, like you, Dave gets at least a couple more good years. The preliminary results are promising, but I do know that it can stop working at any time. I do hope that you find another creative solution. I remember you saying that you are in Ontario too. Princess Margaret seems to be starting new trials all the time, particularly ...

My partner has stage 4 PDAC - a 3cm mass on the tail of the pancreas - with numerous liver mets. Diagnosis confirmed Oct 10 after liver biopsy. Primary symptom leading up to diagnosis was right upper quadrant pain that initially was intermittent and reduced with OTC pain meds, but became persistent and severe. The mets on the liver are/were numerous and invading the capsule, which the oncologist said was likely the s...

Thank you so much PhilipJax, I have seen the Canadian work arounds and have it in my back pocket as well. I'm hoping that the oncologist here is willing to work with us and we also have access to great health benefits through our jobs. So we hope to keep those jobs and seek treatmennt at the same time. But we are not far from Buffalo, NY either. I continue to read through your website and info, I've also been gatheri...

Baloo, we are in Ontario, proximal to Toronto/Princess Margaret where I have heard good things about oncologists being willing to work with patients. Unfortunately Cancer Care Ontario is apparently quite strict about which centre you go to based on address, so we have been defaulted to Grand River in Kitchener. Weare  are also very close to Juravinski in Hamilton. But I will fight tooth and nail to make sure he ...

Dear PhilipJax, I have been reading and soaking up all of the info that I can from your posts and your website, amongst other sources. We got biopsy confirmation yesterday (from liver mets) that my partner has metastasized adenocarcinoma "most likely" of pancreatic origin (I guess the pathologist didn't know about the 3.1x2.7 mass on the tail of his pancreas). His PCP has been a nightmare to deal with/get answers fr...
