My mom found out she had colon cancer June 2009, stage three. She had surgery then did 12 rounds of Fulfox, started getting very sick towards her last couple of treatments. She had a c-scan and it showed it had spread to her liver, then she was started on Fulfury and did 6 rounds of that. Now she is so sick has fluid in her stomach three spots on her liver, and the doctor thinks it might have spread to her ovaries. He said hospice would be the next step. I'm having a hard time giving up, and just need some encouragement or anyone that has been in this situation. With only three spots on her liver can't they do surgery? He said that normally they would but he thinks, doesn't know for sure that it's spread to her ovaries. I know her ovaries can be removed as well. Please give me some hope.

The thing that struck me about all the replies that you got, not one mentioned alternatives. of which there are several!! Believe me and my wife, some of these for cancer work! I had cancer in my mouth, the Dr said lung cancer, and my wife has had Multiple Myeloma (cancer of the blood marrow) for several years now. We both have leaned heavily on alternatives and are proof that they work! Please do not give up hope until you have researched these and used them. Warning, some of the sites on the internet are pure scam, but many are not. You will be able to tell the difference, especially if the site has many, many testimonials from former cancer victims. God Bless your Mother and you! Check out: Bill Henderson Caisse Essiac Tea Flax Seed Oil & CC Many others! Also, you may want to contact: WorldPrayerCenter.com

My wife, who has had Multiple Myeloma + other afflictions, has done well on the Hallalujah Diet. You may even check testimonies, lots of them, and even for specific sickness's. She has also used several other alternative's with the diet, but believes the diet is the most important thing in her continued improvement.

GOD Bless!

After being told for nearly a month that I had kidney cancer, I just learned that I actually had pancreatic cancer that has put a huge tumor on my kidney and also spread to my spleen.  In the pancreas it is in the body and tail only so far.

I went from getting ready for kidney surgery to being told there is nothing to be done.

Anyone with experience in this kind of thing?

THe first reply that you got had good advice! I am a 5 year survivor of cancer and my wife 2 years of Multiple Myeloma with tumor involvement in the spine. We both take lots of different supplements including Curcumin. She is in remission and I have been told by my Surgeon that I now am cured.  Surly believe in supplementation, but be careful if you search the internet, there is a lot of charletens out there, but also some good stable info. One that you might want to check is "Grouppe Kurosawa"! There is good info on there about Pancreatic cancer. If you need to know more about the supplements that we take let me know.

GOD Bless!

My friend's mother who is 74 year old and detected lung cancer. WHile going thorugh CancerCompass site, I found lot of information about various treatments. Doctors have told that she willl not be able to bear chemo therpy doese. Doctors have advised TARCEVA, but it is very expensive and cannot afford. Hence we are looking for alternative treatment.

Of these treatments, flax oil treatment seems to be really harmless. Can anybody give some more information about this treatment? Is there anybody from India / any where who can share their experience about this treatment?

Thanks.

My wife and I, who has Multiple Myeloma and had a tumor in her spine has taken Flaxseed Oil and Cottage Cheese for years now. Also, use Essiac Tea, Liquid Minerals, Curcumin with heavy cream, IP6 w/Inositol, a good MultiVitamin, Selenimen, Magnesium, Potassium, Reservatrol, Vitamin D3.  The Flaxseed Oil, Essiac Tea and the Curcumin are the 3 that we feel are the most important. She is now in remission, her system built back up, looking and feeling good with lot's of energy.

Her and I feel that these things are what is keeping her alive.

Use your search engine and research, research, research.

Also read BIll Henderson, The Beckwith Family and others.

Hi all,

My dad just had a non small cell adinocarcinoma removed from his left lung on New Years Eve (actually they removed the upper left lobe). The cancer had not spread after all scans and further diagnostics were done and the doctors feel based on the surgery and tests that everything has been removed and caught in time. They are not suggesting chemo or radiation however, we have a follow up with the oncologist in two weeks and will also consult outside of the state just to be safe.In the meantime, are there any documented supplements, diet changes, etc. that you can suggest that would be of great help in maintaining his health? I keep reading about some sort of tea and something called blood root but Im getting confused and need some clear direction. If anyone out there has had great results with anything at all, would you please let me know? My dad is 56, in great health except for the found tumor and I want to help prevent any recurrence as well as just keep him in good health if there is anyway.

Thanks so much.

Hi-

My wife, having Multiple Myeloma, is now in remission (rare). She uses her diet as her first line of defense. The diet that she uses is the Halelujah Diet (dont let the name put you off). Go to their website and read the testimonials, for any specific diease.

Also, she uses many other things, including, Essiac Tea, Flaxseed Oil with Cottage Cheese, IP6 w/Inositol, a good multivitamin, Vit D3, Garlic, Curcumin w/Heavy Cream, Liquid Minerals, Selenium, and others.

I, about 4 years ago, coughed up a quantity of blood one day, had a scan that showed a lesion on my right lung. Of course, because I had smoked, the Drs all said cancer.

I refused any biopsys or conventional treatment and used diet, Essiac Tea and Flaxseed Oil with Cottage Cheese.

That was 4 years ago

Anyway there a alternative cures out there. Check out The Beckwith Family, Bill Henderson, etc. Lots of good info.

You might also want to check out the World Prayer Team if so inclined.

Hope your dad does well.

God Bless both of you.

Hi, hope both of you feeling better about this thing now. I know that your problem can be whipped.

In my last reply to you I forgot to mention probably one of the most important things, if not the most important, and it seems that none of the other replys have mentioned this.

DIET- Probably what has been eaten for many many years has caused the problem and the only way to correct this is to eat properly.

Please get on www.hallalujahacres.com, check their healing diets out and get on it! Read the testimonails from the people that have done this and what it has done for them. IT WORKS!

But, it is a bit tough to change to a diet like this, but if it works it should be done. My wife can verify this!

Good luck and GODS Speed.

David

The reply from Shemay had lots of good cancer fighting stuff in it. The Flaxseed Oil and Cottage Cheese espescially. Also consider the Essiac Tea. The one you make yourself. You can purchase the herbs ready to brew. Some other things that my wife and I use is Selenium, Vitamin D3, IP6 w/ Inosital, Cucurmin w/peprine, Liquid Minerals (very important) as this supplement is hardly ever mentioned, but everybody is deficient in minerals and even if you are not sick you would need to take this supplement, a good quality multivitamin, Q10, and others on a dailey basis.

I have found, as many others cancer patients have, that their oncologists will not be in the know about alternatives will probably be opposed to them or have the attitude that they will do no good.

Hope this helps! And, you might want to use the World Prayer Team.org where not 1 or 2 is in agreement with you prayer but 1 or 2 million.

Good luck and GOD Bless

My wife took 600mg of Thaliomide dailey for 6 months along with the steriod Dexamethasone, Zometa and coumadin.

The Oncologist only prescribed 1 mg dailey of the coumadin and because of this she developed DVT (deep vein thrombosis) a blood clot that almost took her life.

Another Dr then put her on Lovonex daily for several weeks along with 6 mg of coumadin and she has her blood viscosity check every 2 weeks with a test called INR.

This has not gotten rid of the blood clot but keeps her leg from swelling and hurting.

This was the worst side effect of Thalidomide although she did have a little nueropathy in her feet and hands, constipation which she control for the most part with Ex-Lax. Some of the supplements that she took also helped with the constipation.

The best side effect that she had was that it made her sleep extremely well at nite.  She always took her pill at about 8 pm each nite.

She has been off all of the above medication for about 3months now. She is having a complete bone xrays series tommorrow to see if there is any lesions on any of her other bones. She did have a tumor in her spine that was done away with 14 radiation treatments.

So- with this disease there any many things to control and watch for but it is controlable with good Dr's and lots of prayer.

Also, very important is the right supplements for the specific diease of MM. She take lots of them and they have done her a good job.

Good luck and God Bless!

I can relate well to your feelings of being scared as my wife has had Multiple Myeloma (blood marrow cancer with tumor involvement in her spine and I have had oral cancer.

You ask about alternative treatments. We both have used Essiac Tea and Flaxseed Oil & Cottage Cheese extensivly. I haven't had any cancer diagnosis in 4 years now and my wife's oncologist just took her off of all of her chemo, steriods, Zometa after 6 months because her last lab tests showed no sign of multiple myeloma.

We also both use a good quality multi vitamin, IP6 w/inositol, extra selenium, Vit D, Magnesium, Potassium, Vit C. She also takes a good mineral supplement, uses Curcumin w/heavy Cream, and adheres mostly to the hallelujah diet. She is thinking about including enzymes.

We feel that these alternative treatments are responsible for the most part for our overcoming cancer.

We also use the World Prayer Team.

Research, research, research on the internet, but use some good common sense about what you come across. There are lot's of charlatans out there but also some real good stuff.

Check out the wesite for Bill Henderson, The Beckwith Family, Grouppe Kurrosawa, and others. These are reliable info centers.

Never give up. One must have hope to continue and overcome this diease, as you will have after obtaining lots of good info.

Google search engine also has a feature that allows you to put a topic into that you are interested in, called Google Alerts, and will send you any info on the web daily related to your topic of interest.

Good Luck and God Bless!

hi! i have a question: do u think flaxseeds would have the same effect as flaxseed oil? harriet

Flaxseeds are a good food to use any time you want to on foods, etc, but, no, they will not give you the full benefit that the Flaxseed Oil will, mixed with Cottage Cheese. The reason for the CC is that it has the correct fats and sulfur's to make the FSO effective.

Also, don't forget the Essiac tea! Excellant!
