    Whoa.  I just logged on here to ask an unrelated question and did not see what went on in my thread. Sorry for all the negativity that ensued. Thank you to those of you that were supportive. My best friend passed away very peacefully with us near her a few months after that post.

      I hope this does not offend you all here. Quick history: I lost my best friend to Stage IV breast cancer last December.  She died 17 months after the diagnosis, it had spread to her bones and by the time they did the mastectomy and bone rads, it was in her liver, spinal fluid and then brain. She went from the regular chest port, to pills, to a port in the head at the end.  So, I am not sure what the "norm"...

        Thanks guys :)  I am trying so hard to be positive.  I cry at night the most.  I have so many thoughts from "She is going to die" to "SHE WILL BEAT THIS, somehow, SHE WILL"  and then I just start crying because I am mad and scared.  I have found the most help on reading peoples stories on here because they are real and just not some sort of person that has x amount of months to live like you ...

          Thank you, Dodie. We found out Friday evening that she does, indeed, have cancer cells in the spine.  Tomorrow she is having a port put in her head to have the chemo get directly placed into the spine.  I am not trying to read too much about it, because it only took me about 10 minutes to get the idea that this is not a good thing.  It sounds like there is no hope.  :(  I have cried so muc...

            Hi. My name is Emily and my best friend was diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic breast cancer last July that had spread to her bones.  She went through 6 rounds of chemo every 3 weeks and the PET scan showed no cancer! YAY!  She had a double mastectomy and partial hysterectomy (some of the tumors were estrogen-fed) on Jan 13 2014.  She went in for a body scan a few weeks later and they found more cancer...
