Hi, I don't know whether he works on stage 4 or not but there was a Dr Haghighi at St Vincent's Sydney that did open surgical nanoknife. I'm a bit out of date. You could try asking on the NanoKnife Surgery Warriors facebook group (you'd need to join it, which is no problem), which is international and has some well-informed members. I'm from New Zealand and two years ago my brother found it was necessary to go to UK ...

Hi there, You are so wise moving things along smartly. The general feeling in all the reading I've done is that Dr Martin is a real leader in IRE. Very best of luck .

Hi Ryan, I'm no expert but have found very helpful information on the Nanoknife IRE thread on this site and Nanoknife Warriors facebook page. A US surgeon often posts very helpful  info there. We've found its worth trying hard and looking elsewhere when the local medicos are not fully informed and, by nature, suspicious of anything different. My brother had percutaneous nanoknife which we feel has extended hi...

Hi, We are pleased my brother had IRE and believe it is extending his life (17 months since diagnosis stage 3). The surgeon (in UK) said people often gained about a year of life.  My brother had percutaneous, which is reasonably easy to handle, but it may not reach every part of the tumour, as in the open procedure. The Nanoknife IRE thread on this site has a deep well of knowledge. Also try NanoKnife warrior...

Hi, We've not been in this position but it is likely to come (mets in spine) so I did ask the doctor what could be done. She said that here (NZ) the hospice would medicate so the person was unconscious if the pain could not be controlled.   I have heard of patches that have helped others too (?fentanyl?) - possibly cocktails of drugs may help. I've read that Cannabis oils can be helpful but have no direct ...

Hi Patrigib, Feel pretty worried by the vertebrae mets - not painful yet but they're growing fairly fast.  Standard radiation is used to shrink them for pain control apparently but may not eradicate.   Another person on Cancer Compass has been advised that SBRT radiation can kill them. If there was an effective chemo/immuno I guess this would fix the mets as well... hence trying hard to find one now&...

Hi. The nanoknife definitely knocked it back and left a lot of scar tissue.     While no-one can know for sure, but from reading other posts in varying groups, it sounds likely to me as if percutaneous nanoknife is not able to reach behind the pancreas and kill any tumour in the retroperitoneal area. Two rods were used in my brother's nanoknife (I think usual with percutaneous) and open surgery nanokn...
