The problem is, patients put all their trust and hope in doctors, which is understandable when getting a cancer diagnosis. It's a devastating thing to hear. For me, I decided to do extensive research before pulling the trigger on surgery....and it paid off.  EVERYONE should do what I, yourself, and many, many others have done. Don't just take the word of doctors....do some research FIRST before making decision...

Well said and I could not agree MORE! I am doing many of the things that you have listed, and the only thing my papillary cancer has done in the last 3 years..is shrunk in size.  A lot of money is made off a cancer diagnosis, A LOT! If you don't think doctors aren't making a ton of money, you're very mistaken. It's a "business"....that is just a fact. And when you're in a business, you want to make money. Ph...

Or you can do what iv'e done....NOTHING, except for supplements, vitamins, etc. Almost three years later, no symptons, no metastasis, no nothing. In fact, my 2.3 cm tumour has shrunk, albeit a little, but it hasn't grown. The way I look at it, I could just as easily have this pap cancer the rest of my life, with it not causing any problems whatsoever, and die one day of something completely unrelated. The chances o...

Hello all, just thought I would update my situation since it's been so long. Everything is basically the same since my last update where an ultrasound showed a slight decrease in the size of the cancer. Further ultrasounds have shown status quo. Iv'e not had ANY medical treatments or surgery, and don't intend to either, most likely not ever. Still doing my daily alternative treatments, which are vitamins, etc. I'...

I'm a good example of someone who decided against doctors advice, deciding not to be rushed into surgery due to fear mongering. I was told to have surgery "imediately". Well, that was two years ago and the only thing my tumor has done..is shrunk slightly. No growth, no movement, no spread..nothing, and still, after having this tumor for many, many years..no symptoms! The only thing i'm doing, is taking supplements ...

Unfortunately, doctors often make a situation Sound worse than it really is..in order to get the patient to agree to his/her demands. I don't know if this applies to your situation or not. My advise is to get another doctor..at least for a second opinion. That is always a good idea anyway!

I should add, it can sometimes be more aggressive than what it usually is. Iv'e seen numbers of 10-15%, but definitely slow growing. Papillary does not mean "fast growing".

Perhaps you misunderstood what he said. It is slow growing and non aggressive!

You're very welcome. Glad I was of some help to you.   Try not to worry as there really is nothing for you to worry about at this point, in my opinion. Besides, worrying will only raise anxiety, which is never good. Time is on your side....and "suspicous"....could turn out to be benign. And even if it is cancerous....you've likely had it for years, and very slow growing since it's non aggressive. Prognosis a...
