Yes you are absolutely right, God expects us to do our part also. My cancer was not only in the pancreas but during the Whipple they found it outside the pancreas as well. I did 6 months of chemo , told it was gone, but after a couple of scans it was back once again and my liver was in such bad shape and pain so bad, I went on palliative care with a very agressive chemo, which certainly took the pain away. I was so s...

Hi argelique17, try not to worry about this as this is quite common with some people. Oxaliplatin  does not agree with everyone. I did have mine lowered twice during the last 4 treatments due to neuropathy. Sometimes, the oncoligist will take you off it for awhile then try again, but when neuropathy occurs, this is a wise decision. They do have great meds to deal with neuropathy . It's best to avoid cold foods a...

I had pleural effusions, and no it did not turn to cancer. Pleural effusion is fluid buildup and is quite common in people with cancer. I'm surprised your oncoligist did not explain this to you.  Joy

Hi Jen, yes I did have the Whipple as my cancer was in the head of my pancreas, outside in the lymph nodes and bile duct. I was lucky the surgeon continued on with this surgery. I did 6 months of chemo but this did come back afew months later in two areas of my liver. I did go on a very agressive chemo which really helped with my pain. When told I had only 5-6 months to live, I want back to God as I wanted this cance...

Hi Stan, thank God for people like you whom are not afraid to speak up! I could not have put this any better then you have! Just to let everyone know, my oncoligist said, well joy, you have had a type of cancer that no one gets better . Treatment is just that ! The whole medical team is wondering what is happening as each scan has came back showing no evidence that you ever had this disease!  So I said, I will t...
