    Did you have the epiglottis reconstruction surgery? I have been considering looking into it also and would like feedback from someone who had it. Good luck, I hope things get better for you.

      I just startied swallow therapy for the 2nd time.  I FAILED my recent swallow test with all 4 consistencies going down past my vocal cords.  There are many other isssues in my neck and jaw with numbness, tingling and pain upon various movements. I appreciate your post.  I will check into some and see what other people have done.

        It has gotten much worse over time.  Swallowing issues were there from beginning, but not so bad.  Good luck.

          I have wondered about that too.  H & N Radiation in 2003.  I have swallowing, talking, & eating issues.  My teeth have been trashed and I'm getting crowns and partials made.  Good luck and I would love to hear what you find out.

            Your posting sounds just like me.  Radiation to head and neck in 2003 and major problems with my epiglotis.  I just recovered from a month of aspiration pneumonia.  I live around 100 miles from Denver and am curious to know if the ENT you saw was able to help you.  I hope he was, both for you and hope for me.  I am grateful to be cancer free for 8 1/2 years now.  I would like to be able ...
