My daughter had stage 2b triple positive breast cancer. She also had lymph cells test positive. She had chemo first then double mastectomy. At surgery no cancer was found. She opted not to have radiation. All this was done at MD Anderson in Houston. But, she would have had radiation before the breast implant surgery. She’s had the implant surgery and all is well with her. Hope this may help.

First, congratulations on 23 years! That is awesome and gives me hope. I’m a 9 year survivor & so proud of it. I have neuropathy in my feet and hands. Pretty bad. I can only wear certain shoes or they will fall off. I can’t keep them on. I haven’t had a problem with my teeth, but my hearing is worse for sure. I had taxol and Cisplatin. My back bothers me but not joints. I feel so blessed to just be alive & ...

My mother, age 94 was diagnosed with a large obstruction colon cancer spread to the liver. The doctor just said to call hospice, since they didn’t recommend surgery or chemo. We agreed with them on that. They didn’t give us any info on what to expect with this cancer. Does anyone have any info on what to expect with these two cancers? An emergency room doctor diagnosed her after a CAT scan. The doctor on call c...

What state are you in? Try another hospital. Try MD Anderson in Houston for a second opinion.

I very highly recommend MD Anderson in Houston, Texas. They have saved the life of 3 people in my family...including me. We live 16 hours away but they are worth the drive. They can help you!

My brother in law had merkel cell on his bottom lip. He had treatment at MD Anderson & did great for probably 7 years until he developed pancreas cancer. The doctors at MD Anderson said the 2 were not related. Good luck to your husband.

Hello, I’m 8 years out from 6 months of cisplatin and Paxol taxol. I ended chemo in August and neuropathy kicked in in October. My feet up to my knees and my hands. I don’t have a lot of pain, but the side effects of not being able to hold on to things and I can only wear certain types of shoes. Slip on sandals are out. I can’t keep them on my feet at all. Nothing with a heel. Flats only. I’ve gotten better u...

I personally don’t think waiting is a good idea. Why take a chance? Don’t put your life in danger! Just do it!
