Hello Joy, What wonderful news.  My husband is asking if you are still receiving treatment?  At 48 years old, he was diagnosed with stage iv pancreatic cancer - May 2015.  I've posted here (cancercompass) his journey.  Anyway, the doctor is monitoring the mass on his lung which has grown while on chemo.  He has a CT scan next week.  I haven't been on this site for several months and am ...

Hello Claity and all, My husband had surgery Decembere 17, 2018 to remove the tail of the pancreas, spleen and a 21 lymph nodes.  He was diagnosed with pc iv in May 2015 - spread to the liver, which was why surgery wasn't an option.  Over time things changed and doctor's went through with surgery...long story, but I have posted the history on this website -  another discussion.  The surgeon said ...

Hello hmohebi, how is your mother doing?  My husband was diagnosed with the same disease around the same time as your mother.   He was 48 at the time.  My husband is still worth us today.   We remain hopeful.  Lupe

Northern232001.  Initially, surgery was not an option for my husband as the "c" had spread to the liver.  A biopsy of the liver showed it was malignant.  As I mentioned earlier, there isn't much data (I'm told) to compare how the disease was acting.  The tumor board discussed his case and surgery was suggested as an alternative because he didn't have the symptoms of someone with stage iv (pain and...

Sorry for slow response as these emails come to my work email.  I will change setting so I get message on my mobile phone.  My husband had the aggressive form, the doctors were left scratching their head.  My husband had more than 30 rounds of aggressive chemo.  We were proactive in his treatment.  The doctors do what they can at their end and we do what we can at our end - we didn'...

It did spread to the liver and a biopsy was performed confirming cancer.  He was diagnosed May 2015.  Surgery wasn't an option then.  I have explained this in earlier posts.  His oncologist and surgeon are with Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago.   Early on we got a second opinion with another oncologist at Northwestern, then a third opinion with a sp...

Jen300.  My husband tried two types of teas, Essiac and a concoction from a Mayan village we visited.  I posted an update, which you might find hope in.  I'm sorry for not getting back to you sooner. Lupe

I am so, so, sorry to all who have posted a question and did not get a response (work software must have blocked this site - I've reposted since).  Anyway, I recently posted an update and is too long to include it here.  In short, my husband has survived pancreatic cancer iv (spread to liver).  His father and grandfather passed away in their 30s from same disease.  Initially, surgery was...
