Hi, if you’re still concerned about cancer, there are two other tests that can help give an early view of whether anything is cancerous, rgcc circulating tumor cells can detect cells from solid tumors in the blood stream. It’s usually done through alternative clinics as the clinical world is still considering how to use the tests. This is the one I would recommend, the other is nagalase, which can detect very early r...

I do have a negative test a few months prior. Which brings me to the question, why doesn’t clinical practice test for ctcs pre and post biopsy? They have proven biopsies increase ctcs, so would this not make sense as clinical practise? Agree for pancreatic cancer every angle is grim. I also don’t remember being warned of risks. I have had to do research after to find out what’s happeninf after the biopsy. Aside from ...

Hi baloo, thanks for responding. The biopsy came back negative. They are going to rebiopsy in couple of weeks. I have symptoms of pancreatic cancer and after the biopsy I came out positive for circulating tumor cells.

Hi, I’m absolutely certain a biopsy of my pancreas done at Mayo clinic has caused my cancer to spread. Lymph nodes came up after, I have what feels like tumors growing in a number of places and my cea and circulating tumor cells are raised. I spoke to the doctor and he told me there is always a risk, but I wasn’t told about this risk before the procedure. I’m going to an integrative oncologist and they sold me they s...

Hi Philip, I can assure you I’m not making this up. Just to be clear, I’m being seen by Mayo Clinic in Minnesota, the Royal Marsden (a uk cancer hospital) and a regular gastro in Hong Kong where I live, where I get scans and Eus for diagnosis. All the other top 5 hospitals I’m sure would see me for diagnosis, but I’m trying to find a hospital somewhere in the world that would aim to treat me without a biopsy, I have ...

I have been to Mayo Clinic. And also requested to be seen by memorial Sloan Kettering, ucla, ucsf and Mc Anderson. For diagnosis they all offer the same mri/ct or Eus. None will treat or even see me unless I have a confirmed diagnosis by histology or cytology. Circulating tumor cell, blood markers and symptoms don’t seem to be enough, as standard of care requires cytology/histology. I will undergo another mri/ct in t...

Thanks Philip, unfortunately the us cancer clinics will not see me until I have a diagnosis by cytology. Which effectively means I need to wait for the cancer to grow. This might sound strange but I went to Mayo clinic, they saw a lesion, biopsied it, however no cancer came up in the cytology, however since the biopsy it feels like the cancer has spread, pain has gone from my pancreas to my liver and back. Waiting ju...

Hi, I’m replying to this group for advice as it appears to be the most educated I’ve seen with your Help Phil Fox, it’s very hard to find an oncologist who keeps on top of modern developments on clinical trails. I have a very unique scenario I need some advice with, I was poisoned wit some chemicals aug 2017, straight after I had some intense pains in my pancreas, six weeks later I had sudden onset of depression and ...

Hi, I have been having symptoms of pancreatic cancer for the past 8 months and I’m being monitored with regular mri and Eus. About 4 weeks ago the lymph node in my neck swelled up, whilst it has reduced in size, I can still feel it and my neck feels sesitive. I have an ultra sound done and it confirmed it was inflamed along with my thyroid gland. My doctors seem unconcerned but given it’s been four weeks and I have n...
