Hi Daniel, glad to hear it’s going well. The first 4 rounds for me went smoothly, round 5 and 6 were difficult as my body had finally had all the chemo it could handle. So hang in there and hunker down for the last 2 rounds. But I made it through all 6 rounds and so can you. I had and still have the same spots in my lungs like you, all remained stable and haven’t changed in over 2 years so they say it’s probably noth...

Hi Daniel, I flew down and back for my first treatment. (MDA has a travel agent in house that uses United, you aren't charged change fee's, etc, but it wasnt' any cheaper). But after my first flight I didn't feel well flying back after the Chemo. So from 2nd treatment forward I drove down by myself and had friends fly one way down on the last day of the cycle and drive back with me. It's about 2 days drive each way a...

Hi Daniel, I'm in Woodstock GA, just down the road from you. I am still under Dr. Siefker's care. I have had nothing but good experience with her and her team, along with everyone at MDAnderson. My original surgery at Piedmont Hospital was in October of 2016 they suggested no further treatment, for second opinion I met with Siefker in Jan 2017 and went to immediate Chemo 2 weeks later (nickname for my type of chemo ...

I had to make the same decision when I was diagnosed to go to Texas from Atlanta. Best decision I ever made to go to Texas to M.D. Anderson. Go, at least get Dr Seifkers opinion, you won’t regret it. Put money out of your mind, it means nothing compared to health. Talk to MD Anderson about assistance.

Please reach out to Dr Seifker- Radtke at MD Anderson in Houston. She is a specialist in Urachal Adenocarcinoma. She is currently my doctor for the same condition and I could not be any happier with the treatment and results I am seeing. M.D. Anderson is where you want to be for treatment of this and any other rare cancer. This is a world class organization and they achieve results where other doctors and hospital...

My doctor, arlene siefker-radtke at MD Anderson in Houston is considered one of very few doctors who understand the difficulties with this rare cancer. Many doctors treat this as they would other cancers which can be a mistake leading to counterproductive results. I strongly suggest reaching out to her team at MD Anderson first, before making any treatment decisions. I am current undergoing treatment there, so please...

Has anyone been admitted for inpatient Chemo at MD Anderson? Or at a different hospital? I am trying to determine what to expect while I am there. MD Anderson gave me what to expect from a treatment perspective, but I can't find any info about the rest of it. Eating, walking around the building, confined to bed, showers, etc, etc. I will be inpatient there for 5 or more days each month and would like to know how I can...

Hello all, follow up on my previous post. I met with Dr Siefker-Radtke several times over the last few weeks for a second opinion at MD Anderson in Houston. I was there nearly 3 weeks for many tests and further biopsies. After CT Scan she was concerned with 2 sites near the original surgery site I had in October. One on bladder wall and one on abdominal wall. Both turned out to be benign scar tissue left over from su...
