What happens when you tell your friends that you have cancer?  I've found that most of mine vanished and try to avoid me; no more emails, phone calls or other forms of contact.  Is cancer really that bad?  I was disgnosed with stage 4 lung cancer in January 2010, it had probably started in about 2006.  A friend of ours had the same diagnosis as me but about 15 years earlier, we certainly did not i...

I have stage 4 lung cancer, it was diagnosed just over six years ago.  My diet includes No alcohol, No added sugar and No trans fatty acids.  I've been quite stable for at least four years and seem to have returned to normal life expectancy. I'm on Opdivo at the moment.

After six years with adenocarcinoma in the left lung, I've been on several treatments including Tarceva and Alimta.  Alimta has just stopped working for me so I've gone onto Opdivo.  Let me know if you'd like an update when I know if it is working.

I was on Tarceva for 31 months and had no hair loss but two females in our Australian support group lost so much that they had to get wigs.  I did have a problem with my eye lashes, they never fell out and just kept growing, my optician offered to trim them and I ended up with regular appoitments every six weeks.  I only really noticed it when the ends of my eye lashes started to touch the lenses of my spec...
