Hi, Was your salvage radiation to the prostate bed only, or prostate bed PLUS pelvic lymph nodes? Did they offer hormonal therapy together with salvage radiation to you?

Hi, I am 53 years old now, PC G 4+5 diagnosed July 2017, PSA was 12 ng/mL just before the surgery which was done on September 2017. First PSA post surgery was 0.03 ng/mL  (December 2017) and was consistently 0.03 ng/mL for (March 2018), (June 2018) and (October 2018). Today (February 20, 2019)I did the test for 3 months follow up, and the PSA was 0.05 ng/mL.  Is this considered PSA duplication? ...

I noticed a swelling in my lower leg, mostely the ankle (one side).  It is almost 9 months since my robotc assisted radical prostatectomy.  I have been told 63 lymph nodes being removed because of high score G 9 (4+5) prostate cancer (although the pathology of these nodes were negative), and no spread beyond prostate capsule. I am still incontinant, using one pad pr day, ED using Cialis / viagra, no result...

Eat2bwell, My vitamin D level was a little bet low 29 ng/ml (30 and above is the normal) per the lab test when first I noticed my PSA is high (8.2) Feb this year. But I am taking 2,000 IU of vitamin D now, and hope that it will help slowing down the cancer cells... Thank you for your feedback!

Thank you for your input.  My question is: Does vitamin D high intake will give incorrect PSA results?  or it is really working to shrink the cancer cells? Thanks!

I forgot to add that the PSA level was 8.2 February 2017, 9.6 April and 12 on July.  After diatery modification, with no meat / diary products etc, and ofcorse with 1 injection of Lupron the PSA now is 3.9 (Augest). Can we stope the progression of prostate cancer with Lupron only? and for how long? I appriciate any feedback from you! Ralph

Dear all, I have G score 4+5 right lobe, 4+4 left lob prostate cancer diagnosed July 27th this year.  The plan was radical prostatectomy robotic, after 1 shot of lupron injection.  Both bone scan and MRI with/without contrast was negative, and no extracapsular spread.  The surgeon thinks it is already spread though, and just today he told me he will go with none nerve sparing robotic prostatectomy wit...

Thank you Calcruzer, for your advice, I appreciate it. Sorry to hear about what you did passed through... I am so stressed, and I feel helpless, as you see I am newly diagnosed with this disease, but it seems that it was there may be years before the diagnosis.   The surgeon talked for nearly an hour to me and my wife last Thursday, he said (as you said) it is probably spreaded locally, ( 85% versus 15% cou...

Thank you for your response, Genemyers. First PSA was 8.4 on February this year, so my PCP prescribed antibiotics for possible infection.
