RE: Gliobastoma stage 4 ssci

Yeah I’m seeing that, in that case it’ll have to wait a bit . I’m in a real struggle right now so I’m spending tome trying to save while living in a friends paying rent fit office room of the house until I can save enough for my own place ( hopefully Jan). It just hit me the other day that, with my luck, I’ll get a place and then my cancer will come back, so I’m trying to see all I can do to still be able to pay for rent in the case it’s able to be operated on and not too close to the spine.

No, I didn’t do that, I went through radiation and less than a few weeks later they had me on Temodar(don’t think I spelled that right) and if my body didn’t take that then I was going to be on that I think. My ex’s family were well off and looked after me as well as the fact they had the doctor approve canibis oil “thc” that I took as well. Thank you for all your blessings, I know it must be hard and I send your family my love.

That’s what scares me, if I can’t do it before it comes back, then it doesn’t really help. I don’t have a wonderful mother ( as you appear to be ) so i have to work even though it’s hard. I would have imagined programs like this would have been in place for situations like this but I’m finding that’s not the case.

Thank you, appreciate that. Yeah when I called and talked they basically said that my condition gets the balm rolling faster but unless it returns and I am unable to work then I’m not qualified and I was denied. Lost a lot of hope at that point, to be honest. Seems there are a lot of things you have to know how to spin which is stressful.

Wow, let me just say that you are so strong and I have so much respect for your and your journey. I’m 30 and I live in the USA. It’s pretty different here, everything is about getting money so even going in for something simple can be expensive. My mri scans cost like 1k after tax ( including insurance) so I only can go when I have the money. I’m kinda couch surfing now cause rent is so high here, trying to see a light at the end of the tunnel, heh. Thank you so much for your response, it really means a lot to me. I too am someone who doesn’t like to take hand outs so I really relate to I feel I should take a page from your book and look for help.

Gliobastoma stage 4 ssci

by RickyCar - November 12 at 1:52 AM

Hi, my name is Ricky and I was diagnosed with Glioblastoma stage 4 in 2014, I am 30 years old and have tried to file for social security and been denied even after telling them on my condition. I work full time for health insurance but I don’t really have friends or family that can help me in the event that it starts growing back. I would appreciate and help or advice on things I can do to be prepared for when/ if it returns. Feel free to ask anything and for those who have read this far, thank you! Ricky-
