    Happy New Year , Dodger. I am so glad that you are doing great!!. I had quitted my job last Oct so I can focus on taking care of my daughter. It is not easy to be a caregiver. I am pretty sure you will find something you like to do and enjoy your life. It is scary every day to me since my daughter just finished 6 was radiation and TMZ. First MRI in next couple weeks, I have my fingers crossed. Best wishes Shell

        Marcelina,Papillary cancer is the most curable thyroid cancer, 98% patients live life time. I had same type of thyroid cancer as you have, and had  surgery to remove both side of thyroid 20 years ago. No any treatment, just on thyroid replacement medication since then. F/U with my Dr. every 6mo, Ultrasound every year after surgery. Check  TSH lever every three month.Now, I only see my Dr. Once a year , ultr...

            Dear Dodger, Thank you so much for replying and friend  request confirmation. I had read your reply twice and it really made me feel good. Yesterday was the first day for radiation and chemo. So far so good. We will take your advice. I will let you know how  the progress is. You are a real educator on brain tumors. Thanks Shell2018

                Hi Dodger, how are you doing? My daugher is going to start her treatment at Dana Faber next wk. Before surgery, we was told low grade, pathology report shown mixed with grade 2 and 3. Since majority are grade 2, the  neuro oncologist in hospital she went for surgery thinks it is grade 2 and planed to put her with 24months high dose of Temodar so we went to Dana Farber for second opinion.                     My daughter just had surgery in August  grade 2, astrocytomas, about 90% tumor has been removed. It is true her job is to stay alive and my job is to worry.  Stay strong!!!
