I live in San Antonio, Tx and I've always worked hard doing tile work, framing homes etc., Hardly ever sick in the past so I never bought medical insurance...just steadily worked to raise my 3 son's.  I now clean houses since my children are grown...a vacation from the work before.  I have a client that is a nurse that lost her mother to ovarian cancer.  I mentioned to her about a month ago that I had suddenly had a full blown menstrual cycle after having none for almost 5 yrs.  She advised me to go to a doctor.  Just so happened I had made an appointment prior for me suddenly falling asleep, being unorganized and unfocused and for the recent very stressful events that have occurred in my family.  I had to pay $175 for this doctor's visit that I went to... To which I got prescribed medications for depression, ADHD and Narcolepsy.  And mentioned to the general practitioners Assistant what my client had told me about ovarian cancer.  She becomes concerned and tells me to call a OBGYN for an ultrasound, hormone count, pap smear, mamogram and blood work.  I can't afford these tests so ive applied for Medicaid, asked Planned Parenting, American Cancer Society etc.  Now that I've read the symptoms... I've had most of the signs of cancer for years. If anyone has any suggestions... PLEASE LET ME KNOW...ASAP.
