Hi, I know how u feel. I miss my hair too. But in the realm of things, I guess it's the least I can give up. Completed 12 infusions of Fulfirinox . just started gemsar and abraxane . I'm told everyone is different. With folfurinox , I lost a lot but I had a thick head of hair. Now much much thinner but not bald but most likely will get there. I have seen some beautiful bald people. I see a certain grace about the...

Beachrunner here, My diagnosis was confirmed July 3 , '13. Stage Four Pancreatitis with mets to the liver. Not a surgical candidate when metastasis occurs. I started Folforinox July16. 9 chemos later, things are well. I wanted to share, that it's important to research and gather as much info as possible. Never give up hope! That's first on the list. Second, let her listen to her body. Rest, when needed, eat when not hungry. Walking when body says yes . But try to do a little most days. Cancer has actually enriched our lives. I would not have asked for this, but would gladly have stepped in so that my family would not get it. I've learned that healing comes from within. Dear Shelly, I have learned the power of hope and love. For me these have shown no boundaries.i have a deeper understanding of both. Love of family, friends have uplifted me and carry me thru chemo. I have a lot to live for so for me it's worth the fight . I hope your husband has a lot to live for as well. I truly believe he can lick this if he really wants to. Blessings, Beachrunner

Thank you for sharing :) Sounds like I am following in your footsteps. I walk for an hour before chemo, I do some form of ex. most days. We accept meal deliveries, rest when my body needs. I take anti diarhea tabs, they work too. Haven't needed anti nausea. The hardest thing for me to do is eat when I'm not hungry. I'm happy and grateful 5 f/u (love the name of that drug) has helped you. Beachrunner

Wow!wow! Wow! There is hope! Thank you a million times for responding to this. I'm so grateful. 10 months! She is my hero! May I ask if exercise was/is a daily part of her lifestyle? I've read exercise decreases side effects. Thank you very much, Beachrunner
