Keep up as much exercise and lifting as you can. I was so weak at end of 18 weeks I went to physical and occupational therapy for several weeks.  I lost about 20 pounds( the bad part of that was it was muscle and not much fat). Have been able to put some muscle back. I am now trying to figure out why my calciium is high in my blood. Will be seeing an ENT surgeon for hyperparathyroid surgery. These things are ra...

I can't speak to your treatment specifically. Some of our drugs are the same. Some are different I had R-chop for NHL (had lymph nodes removed from under my right arm pit). How often do you take treatment? One thing to remember is everyone responds differrently to the same drugs.   My problems mostly effected anything muscular (including heart) for me and balance and strength. Taste and hair was gone too until m...

R-chop for 18 weeks. Had most side effects common to chemo except nausea, vomitting, and diarrhea.  Had to have cardiologist approval with an echo for my last round of treatment. Was hard on the heart. Lasting effects that I still have after two years are neuropathy, balance, short term memory and word recall. Other issues I have had since are increased blood pressure, hands and finger spasms and cramps, and hig...

An addition to my first reply.....I have an unnoticeable scar. I mean one has to look very closely to see where the surgery was done. It is not noticeable. A plastic surgeon did the followup to the MOHS surgery for me. My insurance was good and paid for most of the work to both doctors.

I had MOHS surgery on my nose for BCC about 17 years ago. With that I had a skin graft from my within my hairline above the forehead. It all went very well. My BCC was fairly small but very deep...almost through the nostril by the time the cancer was removed. I have had a couple other BCCs removed since but not from the nose. They were from other facial areas.

My treatments were also 21 days apart. I went through R-chop spring/summer 2015 for nonHodgkins lymphoma. Everybody reacts differently but here is what I went though getting progressively worse throughout six 3-week cycles....eighteen weeks of treatment (first week:five visits to clinic/second week:two visits to clinic/third week: one visit to clinic...then start the cycle over). I had a port implanted the morning I ...

To add to the above....someone mentioned smoothies. I found them to be good, too. I used frozen fruits no sugar added (peaches, blueberries, strawberries) bananas, milk, vanilla and/or chocolate ice cream, protein supplements. My husband drank them with me and he enjoyed them. Also, mentioned was ginger ale. I agree there, too. Lemon, lemon pepper, cayenne, black pepper, salt were the best seasonings for me when co...

I basically lost my taste for most everything during chemo treatment. However, I found that fish and chicken were the meats that worked the best for me....baked, grilled, even fried sometimes as long as the seasonings used were not artificial additives/preservatives. Eggs were good. Milk worked. For some reason the taste of milk was hardly altered. Fresh or frozen veggies and fruit worked. Canned items were not toler...
