    Thank you for replying. This doctor does one month followups with a scan. Not sure why, but that is his routine. Iguess I wanted more free time so he could heal more. And then they claim you could have false positives too early after tx. Is your mom eating now and how long has it been? They have not mentioned any scoping yet!,!! This is definitely a wild ride!!       How many rads did you have and did you have chemo or post rad surgery. I am freaked out over this ct scan done this week. The older I get the more scared I get. My hubby is 4 weeks post rad. We see the doc tomorrow. I will have to take something to calm me.         It seems kind of early to me too, but a few other patients we met also have a one month Ct with contrast. I will keep in mind about a false positive result. I just feel all freaked out since we completed the 64 rads, a twice a day tx plan. I just want it to be all over for awhile. We So need a break.           Dear gold dust woman, I need your encouragement now, my hubbys dx is similar to yours as well. We are 4 weeks post rad, no chemo. Not sure why we had no chemo, but rads only so far. Our ct scan is pending, done today. My fears are getting the best of me, need some good advise to chill.             Thanks Dave for your encouraging words. Since my hubby has been diagnosed with head and neck scc of the tonsils and lymph node, one that we know of, I feel like I have aged 10years. We are four weeks post rads, what a trip!!!!! The ct was done today nut I am scared. What happens next? He is just starting to take small bites of soft food.                 my hubby just completed lat Tues his last radiation tx, a total of 64, twice a day for 32 days. God, it was tough. Now, I wondered is there anything to help Thin the secretions. They get stuck in his throat and he gags. It sounds so painful to hear him. I read somewhere on this site about l-glutamine, helps. But how do you use ut.is it a gargle? Also, what about peroxide to thin the sputum. And someone mentioned ...
