I know- I made the same promise to my Daddy :( It saddens me to think about how many lives are taken too soon due to this dreadful, horrible disease. I agree that I want the money to go towards finding a cure for brain cancer because that is what affected our family but all cancer is terrible and all patients deserve to be cured! Thank you for your input- I keep waiting for the emptiness to ease but the loss of a l...

My dad passed away on April 12, 2013 from a GBM. He was dagnosed in March of 2012 so we had just over a year with him after his diagnosis. The last four weeks of his life my brother and I dropped everything and stayed with him. We had the most amazing four weeks together! We laughed and told stories and made sure that he left this earth with no regrets! My brother has five children and I have three so I totally under...

My dad passed away in April of this year from a GBM brain tumor. My family has started a memorial fund in his honor and we are trying to decide where we should make our donations. Our goal is to put the money towards brain cancer research in hope of finding a cure If anyone has any thoughts on where they money would best be utilized please let me know. Thank you- Kelly

My dad passed away on April 12, 2012 from a GBM brain tumor. I will say that we were so blessed because he lived every day to the fullest. He had the best attitude and fought right up until the end. I always thought my Dad had taught me how to live but he has actually taught me how to die as well- with grace and dignity. I will always be able to say that he never let the cancer control him and that he controlled his ...

My dad after much prayer and research has decided to not do any further treatment. He is very much at peace with his decision and we have to support him. He is getting a little slower each day and gets confused sometimes but we know the end will now come sooner than later. I am so proud to call him my dad and I know that he is the strongest person I have ever known. He wanted his last days to have as much as quality ...

We are in Georgia- Our team of doctors have researched clinical trials but have not been able to find any that are available at this time- They have checked with Duke which is probably the best in this part of the country for these type of brain tumors. I will look into the web site- Thank you so much for the info! I hate when they give statistics because I agree every situation is different-

Thank you- this is the hardest thing I have ever been through. It is such an emotional roller coaster that you have no control over. My prayers are with your mom as well.
