My 25 y/o daughter has been recently told her sweatgland cancer has evolved into poorly differentiated neuroendocrine cancer with mets to liver, lung, bones and brain. Her current treatment is cisplatin and eptopside. Anyone have any experience or information concerning this cancer. Her oncologist gave a prognosis of a few months. I am numb as her full time caregiver.

I am glad to hear he is better.  I took my daughter on a couple of road trips.  About 3 weeks ago she got a puppy which has improved her mood and her activity level.  Last week her platelets were too low for chemo but we got the word today her platelets are up and we go in for chemo in the morning.  She also gets nervous before chemo.  We were told this is her last dose of this treatment plan...

Hi just updating on my daughter's pet scan it looked good the mass in her lung has shrink in size and also in her liver.  Currently though she cries a lot and has a loss of appetite.  I am going to take her on the trip next week to distract her from this cancer.  Hope all is going well with you and your husband.

Thanks, I am glad your husband is getting better.  You do feel so alone as a caregiver.  I remember walking around walmart and seeing happy families were great but made me tear up.  My daughter goes for pet scan next week it will let us know how she is doing.  We are excited and nervous at the same time.  Will let you know how she did.  Prayers for your husband and you.
