Thank you for your kind response, it is the sadest thing to watch all that is going on.  We have brought in Hospice last week more for pain control so she doesn't have to go weekly to the doctor which is an hour drive and it was so taxing on her body.  The good thing with hospice is they also have brought in a counselor and she is taking to them, so I am hopeful this will help them. I am so sorry about your...

Please give me any information you have on taking this drug for Bile duct Cancer.  We have asked our oncologist and received a vague response, she also said she didn't think it would work and it could affect the medicine she is taking. She has not been able to take chemo since Jan. 25th, she is in continual pain since the cancer is in her bones, right and left shoulder blades, back bone, pelvis, and&n...

Has anyone found any alternative medicines for Bile Duct Cancer?  Has anyone tried Salvestrol for Bile Duct and if you have did it help?  Desperate for answers. Chemo is not an option any longer and the pain has become unbearable, any help will be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance, Kathy

You may also want to be checked for Lymphedema, my doctors did not tell me about this, I learned about it from a friend. This may occur if you have had any lymph nodes removed. when you remove lymph nodes it changes the flow of the lymph fluid in that side of the body. I was told that I should never carry any thing heavy on the side I had the lymph nodes removed and I should never have a blood pressure check or blood...

I am so sorry to hear about your Aunt, my niece who is 42 was diagnosed with Cholangiocarcinoma (Bile Duct Cancer) in late July 2012, her tumor is in the middle of her liver so she could not have surgery, she is also being treated at Vanderbilt, Her cancer had already spread to the bones, she did have chemo but it hasn't worked.  She did not qualify for any clinical trails and is currently not well enough to do ...

She is not being treated at Cancer Treatment Centers, I did try to get her to go when she was diagnosed, but because of the kids she didn't want to be far from home, She is being treated at Vanderbilt in Nashville.  I do not won't her to give up but I don't want her to be so sick from the chemo, she had one dose of the 2nd line chemo and it zapped her pretty bad, she ended up in the hospital with another infecti...

Thank you for responding, Hospice will only come into the situation if we discontinue all treatments, My niece is not ready to stop chemo, she feels this is her only option, so we are in a catch 22 situation.  She is set to start chemo again today, 2nd line chemo, I don't feel this will help her, but she is hanging onto hope it will, I don't know how I would feel if I was in this situation.  I would love to...
