Had my scope yesterday, Dr. removed 10 polyps he said some were rather large, did biopsy, said most Drs would have scheduled surgery, but he managed to get them during scope, have to call and schedule follow up for after biopsy results expected.  My hubby just passed in April from lung cancer (yr and a half battle).  Kept him home and took care of him.  If I have a problem don't want my daughter to hav...

There is a new treatment called pd1, it has been approved for nsclc if it is squamous.  There are trials for other types like andecaranoma.  My hubbys dr says there have been really good results but unfortunately hubby doesn't qualify for trial as the chemo he was doing quit working and then they tried a new pill and the ct scan just done shows it did not work and it has spread to other organs and grown. &n...

Hubby not doing well, needs a walker to walk, seems Dr suspects it has spread to the bone.  MRI showed suspected lesions on pelvic bones need further testing because hubby couldn't lay on the MRI table long enough to complete test..lots of pain.  Glad things are getting better for you.  Prayers and hugs to you and your family.

The dr just put my husband on gilotrif pill, it is like the next generation of tarceva and is targeted to his specific mutation.  They put him on this because the iv coctail they have had him on for a year quit working, he has new spots on his lung.  Has anyone out therebeen taking this drug?

thanks for the response, how old is your son?  sorry i haven't been on the computer since my last post.  You do manage to take time for yourself once in a while don't you?  If you don't you should.  Have you looked into programs where someone will come stay with your son a few hours one day so you can go to the spa, beach, a movie, favorite restaurnt, something you like to do to unwind and relax.&...

got bad news wed, the chemo quit working.  scan that was done 12/26 shows several new spots and his efgr number is higher.  dr trying to see if one of the newer pills might be effective on his "mutation" if not might have to find a cance research trial medication.  new appt 1/21 guess we'll find out then  what is DMD? I think it is great that the main thing you worrry about you getting sick i...

how come than went straight for a trial drug instead of radiation and one of the iv drug coctails.  My hubby was diagnosed 10/13 and was suppose to have surgery to remove tumor in lung but the found cancer cells in the fluid of the outside lining of the lung(pleurus not sure of spelling) and a lymhnode near the hilar...whatever that is...but what it meant is they weren't going to do the surgery.  Started ch...

what dr ordered the pet scan?  If it was a primary general dr I'm suprised he didn't set you up an appt with an onocologist.  What did he say about the pet scan results.  Most of us are just as confused about the wording of any tests as you...you need to follow up with dr and asks lots of questions.  Get a small notebook/pad..when you think of a question write it down and take the book with you to...
