Hi,  I want to encourage your husband in his use of Optune. My husband has been using it for over two years now; he is three years out with no signs of recurrence. We *thought* that optune would be a huge lifestyle adjustment. But after the first month, I can't remember life without it.  We've traveled to Hawaii, Disneyland, gotten pregnant and cared for our miracle baby. My husband works 30+ hours a week....

I love how much life you Mom has lived since diagnosis! Prayers for a good and stable MRI.  My husband is 30.  He had just turned 28 when he was diagnosed.  I will be 29 this month.   God is Good!

surgery, followed by 6weeks chemo/radiation daily, followed by temodar 5 days on/25 days off for 15 months. Only fish oil as far as supplments go during chemo as we were counting on the oxidative properties of chemo to work.  Minimal-no 'boxed or bagged food', lots of leafy greens, lean meats, fish and fruit. A couple of months into the 5/25 chemo months we added novocure and he has been wearing that consistentl...

Hi Zachary, My husband was 28 when dx with GBM grade IV in left fronto-temporal lobe, had the same initial symptom as you, also I believe (it's all a blur) he has the same mutation. Docs thought his might have started as a lower grade tumor and then mutated.  No CBD/THC for him, but he did do surgery, radiation and temodar. Also we chose to include novocure/optune in our treatment plan. We followed a much stric...

I want to shout from the rooftops, my joy!  My husband is 2 years out from his dx of GBM IV, and we are now expecting our first child. He has had no signs of recurrence and has been happily back in the workforce, aproximately 30 hours a week for the past 6 months.  We give glory to God, an aggressive medical team, exercise, good nutrition and sleep, and my husband's incredible will to live.&n...

My husband has been using Optune very successfully for aproximately 1.5 years. The first week was the worst, as we figured out how to navigate bedtime- he kept getting 'overheating' alarms. We purchases an expensive cool-gel pillow and he does much better now.  Hope you are doing well.

I agree with Dododger. Give your sister the facts and let her at least have the option of coming home. My heart and prayers go to your family in this time.

My husband has been using Optune for his primary GBM in combination with Temodar since September 2015, his surgical resection was February 15 followed by radiation and chemo. We have been having very good results, no growth. He has mgmt and idh1 markers.

Hi! Tough boat you are in, I won't down play that. My husband, then fianc├ę, was dx in February 2015. It's my hope to give you hope by saying he is doing well, no new growth as we continue on with treatment. We were able to get married, go on a honeymoon to Hawaii, and he just recently started working again. Not that it hasn't been hard work... But we find joy daily. I highly recommend having a discussion with the doc...
