I am now inpotent and have hot flashes every 10 minutes. I had no symtoms before treatment. Sometime it is better to die of the desease than from cancer treatments that do not work.

diagnosed with cancel last week.Pa level of 15.14. second test was 16.9 with Gleason score of 6. I have taken external radiation and gotten sicker and have less energy. I was told to take a laxative and now am sick to my stomach with constant diarrhea. I am now wondering if getting worse is better than doing nothing and staying well. It is choosing between dying of Cancer or it's treatment. On 10/07/2010 I took 2 Dulcolax laxative tablets as directed By Deconess hospital in preparation for Internal radiation therapy. I went through 10 hours of Diarrhea, stomach cramps, sweating, nausia and sickness before I finally went to sleep from exhaustion. When I woke up at 4am I was still sick and very dehydrated. By bowels moved another 4 times before I left for surgery at 5:30. I had the 19 needles placed in my prostate and wires inserted to shoot radiation in the target areas. I was given Valium and an IV then a saddle block. After the procedure I was left to recover before going home, The nurse told me I would have to be filled with water through a Cather inserted in my penis to prove I could pee on my own. Once this was done the IV was removed and the Cather jerked from my penis. This was very painful. After going home I endured painful urination from 3 pm till 1 pm the following day. The needle insertion after pain was not as bad as I was prepared to have. I did not have any infections. The pain medication did not relieve the urination pain at all. To anyone considering this I would not recommend it or be prepared for pain for 2 days after.
