I had scc too and I strongly suggest you get a different opinion on having surgery!!!!!!   I see to many peoplehaving this butchery.  They want to give Radiation and chemo afterwards just too make sure it's all gone.  Radiation first and I would fore go the chemo if it hasn't spread into too many lymph nodes  Mine was in 2010 and also throat cancer in 2016.  Doing fine now waiting for somethi...

Forgot to add, I used Ensure supplements Vanilla flavor,  8 cans a day  Strawberry makes you smell like a strawberry so only had a case of them.  You'll be on the tube for 8 months.  I was lucky to have it in because my throat completely closed for 6 weeks and lost my voice.  My hospital gave me free supplements for the first cancer so I was lucky.  Then the manufactuer had a program tha...

Well you have come to the right place today.  I had tongue cancer in 2010, I had 33 radiations and chemo once a week for 6 weeks until my creatine level went up from the chemo so I  quit chemo.  Having the cancer cut out, to me, was a butcher job.  Not knowing the circumstance I can only offer an opinion.  Seems like a last resort to me, not the first action. I would not get any treatment unl...

I had a 15 cm cancer on my kidney at the same time as I had tongue cancer.  The Dr. never mentioned it until it was revealed by another Dr. 3 months later.  His explanation was that if the tongue cancer wasn't cured than it wouldn't have made a difference.  It was encapsulated and not about to spread.  I then had it removed, the kidney was almost all eaten up by then.  No problems since

They are usually put in before radiation.  Can't see not having one becuse your throat will most likely close off completely.  Mine did in  my throat cancer, had 3 dilations to get it back open.

By fast, I mean 1 hour and you're done. It's the recovery that is the worst and one doesn't know for sure if the cancer is all gone, hence the radiation and chemo shotgun approach.  Like I said, everyone is different and every cancer is different.  One size doesn't fit all.  5 year clean is very good.  Mine was 9 and 3 years ago and each time the treatment was more advanced

I forgot to mention when it comes to going thru this treatment that you may qualify for nutrition at little or no cost from many major companies.  I started out paying for it and then found this out.  You get a months supply at a time, in my case, Insure products  I received it for 7 months each time I had cancer, free.  Contact hospital nutrionist

I say this because it is radical and maybe entirely unneccesary.  Many "DR'S" are not that skilled and you take your chances when being cut.  It seems like a fast fix and you still need radiation.  My wife had brain surgery and was about to be released from the hospital.  When I came to get her she was wrything in pain so I called her Dr. and she was readmitted into intensive care for 30 more days...

I would think hard a long about having surgery, it would be only for lifesaving measures.  Everyone is different tho.

You've come to the right place.  The tumor is pressing into the esophagus so baking soda and all these hints can't hekp that.  He needs to start treatment NOW!  My radiation was done every day for 33 treatments.  The chemo if i had to do it again I would not take it.  It causes too many long term side effects , like loss of taste for the main one.  It raises your creatine level and damag...
