I sure hope you are not saying drinking the tea cured the cancer.  Why the chemo after radiation?  I would suspect the original diagnosis before I gave any credence to drinking tea. I have had 5 cancers and am still here and I never drank tea.

You are alive and that is a good thing.  Sometimes I prayed not to live in the codition I was in, but that passed because I had good Dr's and attention at the correct time.  I hear some that suffer for years before seeing a Dr. and then it's too late.  Not having surgery myself I have only my opinion.  I would go to hell and back before they pulled a knife out on me!

Yes, 14 dilations.  With throat cancer the radiation toughens up your muscles, simular to scarring.  Periodic dilations help the swallowing process. Some are 18 months apart, whenever I feel the need for one.  My throat is only dilated to a 15 because of radation and normal is about 18.  Upper and lower can be dilated.  No, it will not close up again. The location of my cancer was a contribut...

In my case, my throat would suddenly seize up after starting a meal and i could swallow the food or cough it up.  It just sat there burning for 10 minutes, then it felt like a toilet flushed and it went down and I was ok.  This happened periodically and seemed to become more frequent.  I was sent for an ultra sound ( by a nurse practioner ) and the rushed for a PET scan. tongue cancer! ( unrevealed by...

Marcia, I have had the same cancer stage 4 twice.  Once on tongue and once in espophagus.  My throat swelled shut for 6 weeks from the radiation and it took 3 dilations 2 weeks part to open it and since then It's been normal. That was over 3 years ago. I have had 14 dilation since 2018.   I doubt that the skin has grown shut, if so blame the Dr. for not keeping tabs on him.  I have had excellant D...

I had scc too and I strongly suggest you get a different opinion on having surgery!!!!!!   I see to many peoplehaving this butchery.  They want to give Radiation and chemo afterwards just too make sure it's all gone.  Radiation first and I would fore go the chemo if it hasn't spread into too many lymph nodes  Mine was in 2010 and also throat cancer in 2016.  Doing fine now waiting for somethi...

Forgot to add, I used Ensure supplements Vanilla flavor,  8 cans a day  Strawberry makes you smell like a strawberry so only had a case of them.  You'll be on the tube for 8 months.  I was lucky to have it in because my throat completely closed for 6 weeks and lost my voice.  My hospital gave me free supplements for the first cancer so I was lucky.  Then the manufactuer had a program tha...

Well you have come to the right place today.  I had tongue cancer in 2010, I had 33 radiations and chemo once a week for 6 weeks until my creatine level went up from the chemo so I  quit chemo.  Having the cancer cut out, to me, was a butcher job.  Not knowing the circumstance I can only offer an opinion.  Seems like a last resort to me, not the first action. I would not get any treatment unl...

I had a 15 cm cancer on my kidney at the same time as I had tongue cancer.  The Dr. never mentioned it until it was revealed by another Dr. 3 months later.  His explanation was that if the tongue cancer wasn't cured than it wouldn't have made a difference.  It was encapsulated and not about to spread.  I then had it removed, the kidney was almost all eaten up by then.  No problems since

They are usually put in before radiation.  Can't see not having one becuse your throat will most likely close off completely.  Mine did in  my throat cancer, had 3 dilations to get it back open.
