    Dear Sheryl, Please contact Home Health Agencies in your area and see if they have a Wound, Ostomy Continence Nurse (WOCN). These are specialized nurses who have a great deal of knowledge with Colostomy issues. You will need an MD order so discuss with your physician.         Hello, I am a Registered Nurse of 41 years and have a husband who is currently fighting stage IV colon cancer. For different reasons then your Dad, he too had tons of phlegm. Talk to his Doctor about trying the following meds: Non-prescription - Benadryl Prescription - Scopolamine patches (be familiar with side effects such as dizzyness, confusion, etc) or Atropine 1% solution - 1-2 drops under the tounge.             My husband, who has stage IV colon cancer with 7 tumors in his liver, had the SIRT Procedure done at Kenneth Norris Cancer Center at USC in LA. The Procedure was divided into 3 parts - the mapping and then each side of the liver was done separately due to the position of his tumors. The last part was done 1 month ago. The plan is to have a PET scan in 5-6 weeks (8-10 weeks after the first procedure) and see how effe...
