I had a TT and RAI 4 years ago. I have had a hoarse voice since around January this year, it gets slightly better then worse again but never goes away. My TSH was at 9.5 recently, they will recheck my levels in a few weeks. Everyone around me has noticed my voice, people who I see everyday and people who I only see every few months so my question is - Has anyone had this symptom and it was thyca recurrence?

I was under a doctors care through the whole pregnancy (in retrospect not a good doctor consider a bunch of other things that happened). It is very common for you to need a higher dose of medicine when pregnant, my doctor didn’t catch my levels when they should have so it was scary worrying about my sons development during the first trimester but he is healthy.

Thank you for asking. My son will be a year old next week and was born full term extremely healthy and it was a great pregnancy excluding my levels. The whole first trimester and part of the second we were trying to get my levels correct. I will never let a obgyn monitor my levels again because they were not vigilant like a endo would have been. My delivery was tuff they almost had to do a hysterectomy because of ble...

I am 2 years out from having thyroid cancer and I am 15 weeks pregnant. I had my TSH checked about 10 weeks ago and my level was 2.6. My obgyn said he would monitor my levels during the pregnancy and check once a month. They never put an order in to check it since the first time (10 weeks ago) and I had to show up at the office yesterday asking them to please do some labs. . Turns out my TSH was at 13. I am w...

I am so sorry to hear this. Levothyroxine (synthroid) has worked for me. How many different pills have you tried? I have friends who love Armour.

Hello! I am 26 and the end of 2017 it will be 2 years since my thyroidectimy because of cancer. I have never been pregnant and I have the same questions as you!

I had the left lobe removed first (That's where the tumor was). It came back cancerous and I had the right lobe removed a little more then a month later. This fall will be 2 years for me. Feel free to ask any questions.

Yes. I called her and she explained that because I have the antibodies that the tg marker isn't reliable.

Do you know how different the results from your local lab are to the ones from the lab in California?

I am 7 months out from having my thyroidectomy for papillary cancer and almost 6 month out from my RAI. I got a blood test last week and received a letter with the results today. Results state " Stable results compared to October 2015 - TG antibody levels are elevate - I hope to see a decline with more time. Will follow and recheck in 6 months with your lymph node mapping" My Levels are 5.7 IU/ml. Reference...
