I'm not sure exactly what you are describing but it sounds similar to my GERD(acid reflux).  You might ask about that and try some medications for it that might help. Good luck, God bless and keep the faith... David

I also have a problem with mucus. My esophagus is damaged from radiation to my lung.  I use Mucinex all the time and try to do pursed lip breathing to help bring it up. It does seem to help.  The types and amount of feed we eat makes a difference too... Good luck, God bless and keep the faith... David

Hi, is it the same cancer or the same type of cancer? I have/had stage IIIB squamous cell in the left upper lobe and am now N.E.D. I did what the doctors told me to do and everything I could to live a healthy life. I exercise every chance I get and continue to live life to the fullest. Hang in there and do all you can. Stage IV can be beaten. It happens everyday. Don't listen to the negativity and keep a good positiv...

Hi, I had a VATS procedure in Feb 09 and I still have some occasional light pain in my left side around the upper rib cage area. I've had a CT scan every 3 months since the surgery and it hasn't shown any problems. I guess our poor bodies never completely recover when they are violated like that. It's better than the alternative. Good luck, God bless and keep the faith... David

This is fascinating research. It has to be the answer. The only problem is finding it. Thanks to all the researchers who are going to eventually cure cancer...

As a patient involved in a cancer vaccine clinical trial, I am excited to see this new trial. The cancer vaccine route seems to be the way of future cancer treatment with the possibility of a cure. Thank you for all your hard work!

I am very shocked to learn that only 23% of smokers diagnosed with lung cancer quit smoking.
