If the vietnam people have had issues because AO was in there water and fields and they drank the water and ate the rice.  What about our soldiers?  They drank the water and I am sure there food was contaminated by AO.  The doctor sauid it casn be in there system for along time before it activates.

My VA rep just gave me all my dad's medical records back and said there was nothing else they could do since colon cancer is not on the list of cancers caused by agent orange. He was in Vietnam at the air base Phang Rang where they sprayed AO, that they acknowleged.  They said every 2 years they review the list, so I can watch for updates and re-file if colon cancer gets added.  I keep looking to see if an...

That is wonderful news.  Maybe there is hope for the rest of us.

I wish you the best with the appeal.  If enough people keep fighting maybe something will change.  It is sad that our vets didn't hesitate to go to Vietnam when the were deployed and had to leave spouses and family behind.  They get sprayed with AO and there is no time frame when cancer will effect someone or how. Now spouses are left without husbands and income. I keep looking for answers o...

Sorry to hear your claim was denied.  We are all in the same situation.  We can only hope they will continue to research and see all the vets that continue to get colon cancer and die from it.  Supposedly every 2 years they do a review.  Maybe they will look at all the deaths associated with colon cancer. Don't give up. The more cases reported to the VA, maybe one will get approved...

I know how you feel.  I am trying to help my mother to see if  they will give her the benefits for my father.  No luck yet.  It is frustrating and she does not understand why they are denying her claim on his behalf.  Since his retirement from the Air Force stopped at his time of death, it makes it hard for her each month.  Her Social Security she draws using my fathers benefit does not ...
