I just signed on as a member this evening and as I read your message I glimpsed what it is like from the other person's view.  Just keep singing "One Day At a Time", like the song goes.  I believe life on earth is only  part of our journey, and we'll be separated for a short time but then we'll be together again. Doctors are all different. My sister died a year and half ago.  Her children found out she had lung cancer in Feb/Mar 2011 after she fell; she died  a few weeks later on May 2. We just lost our daughter in September . . . she had a heart and lung condition. Two years ago we were told she wouldn't live through the night but God let us have her for two more years and 3 months. You're right the journey is difficult, but we can make happy little trips and treasured memories along the way lined with hope and faith.  Thank you for sharing! I pray for a miracle for your husband.

Thank-you for taking the time  to respond to our message.

One day at a time, so true.

Blessings to you and to yours

What a rollercoaster ride. Most important thing we have learned and know that is very true is hope. Hope and faith. We have to admit we have lost it a tad here and their and life is pretty ugly with out it. Sorry God, but cancer sucks. We know you have always been there for us, but it its still miserable for both of us, not knowing our future outcome of this is hard. Please God keep us with peace, kindness, love and some joy throughout this difficult journey.

Yes everyone is an individual, so how can any doctor give you a time. A time your life ends. Today though we feel we would like to know, 6 months a year? How will my husband feel? Can we go on a trip? Should we sell our house? A living will? A doctor from another hospital told us 6 months to a year. Thur when we see our main doctor we know he wouldnt tell us that.

Stage 3A lung cancer survivor diagnosed April 2011

After my husbands 98 radiation treatments and 18 chemo treatments. Doctors feel it is time to switch to Tarceva. No more radiation can be done, considered high risk.
