confusion with diagnosis

by elh93 - June 13 at 2:18 AM

Hi I had a question about results I got and wasn't sure if anyone has experienced the same thing. The first dr I went to isn't very good, but I got a leep procedure done with her and she said that she got good margins.... but now I am going to someone new and getting my 6 month colposcopy to see how things are going. But this was my diagnosis, and I've never heard of endocervical glands being effected from my previous dr, and I found these results from the hopsitals page. Is this something I should be more worried about? I also spoke with my new dr, and he is thinking of possibly doing a uterine scraping as well? and advice or anyone have the same sort of results?

Cervix, biopsy:
- High grade squamous intraepithelial lesion (CIN 2-3), involving endocervical glands and
present at the peripheral and deep tissue edges
The specimen is received in many parts, and high grade dysplasia is present at
multiple tissue edges. Immunohistochemical stains for p16 on blocks 1-3 are strongly and
diffusely positive, supporting the above diagnosis.
