Thanks for the feedback and support! We started radiation today as planned. Dad barely had the strength to stand up (took almost 20 minutes before he stood up to walk into the treatment center), but his fighting spirit is still with us. He put the same effort into going to his church group tonight. Does anyone know of someone who has started radiation in such a weak physical state and seen improvements (e.g., increas...

At what point is it too late to do additional radiation/chemo?My dad (age 64/in otherwise perfect health besides GBM on right side of brain) is slated to start his 2nd radiation treatment for GBM tomorrow (his first was in 2014, with chemo) at Hopkins and my family is concerned he may be beyond the point where treatment will help. The tumor is inoperable. In the past week, he has lost most physical strength to the po...

Please let me know where we can order DCA and have it delivered to US. Does anyone have any pharmacy suggestions? Thank you!

Does anyone have ideal dosing recs for all drugs on the cocktail? Has anyone used the tetanus shot in conjunction with chemo...if so, how many shots? Thank you! :)

I would thank him for all he has done for you (the more specific you can be, the better) and express your support and love. Just wondering, how do you know there's a 5-10% chance he will die during the surgery?

Is it safe to go off of steroids and replace them with boswellia? My dad's on a rather high dose of steroids and I'm concerned about safely switching over. Does anyone know of any oncologists in the US that would be comfortable monitoring this kind of switch? Thanks!

                      1) How can you tell if Temodor is working or not if you don't have enough tumor to test if you have mgmt expressed? My dad was on Temodor through Dec 2014, as part of the Stupp protocol, and his GBM recurred in January 2015. (However, correlation doesn't imply causation and not sure how long chemo "works" after being taken.) 2) Is there any place where stats on long term survivors is consolidated? I would love to kn...

My dad was diagnosed with GBM (stage 4 brain cancer) in his right temporal lobe in March 2014. He underwent surgery and the cancer came back in the same place in 01/15. He had his 2nd surgery in 03/15 and his 2nd recurrence in 04/15. We are now exploring clinical trials/alternative treatments.
