      Thanks Susan-it has been a while since we spoke. Yes it is an infection. taking strong anibiotics. making another appointment with my ENT to try and find the root cause. Gary

I was admitted to the infectious disease ward in my hospital because they could not find anything wrong.             Hi Karen Coffee started helping my taste buds-thank God. Chicken was the worst even 4years out-sometimes the texture just does't bode well. Taste buds do retirn but even now somedays they just revert back-but it REALLY does get better and everyone is a little different. Gary

              Hi Sadsister1 I am 4 years out and my radiologist told me that they keep watching the lungs-from past experience if cancer does come back that is the first place it will reemerge Gary

                Hi Imwavin I had it on my right side. Even though I see my radiologist every six months -they sent me to a cardiologist. It seems that Cisplatin also damages the heart and it isa a circulatory issue. It idi go away for me but the cold weather makes me feel it. I am almost 4 years out. It all does get better over time Gary

                  Hi Karen I totally agree with Bugsy-I forgot about the Lipton soups -I also ate a lot of Ramen soups too for the soft noodles. Ice cream too but it tasted like metal.  I did get a prescpition for tramadol(synthetic marijuana) for appetite but it didn't work I did go on antidepresseants which helped a great deal Gary

                    Hi Karen My dr would not take feeding tube out until at least three months after treatment and I was able to eat somewhat again. I ate lots of scrambled eggs cooked in butter. it does get better but he has to be strong mentally to get through it. I am 3 1/2 yrs out can eat almost anything but real spicy foods which I miss. Meat proteins will be one of the last things he will be able to eat. dry mouth does get better...

                      Hi Roselvr I had HPV BOT stage 4b-Diagnosed almost 4 yrs ago. I have been with my wife for 45 years --she flipped out when it was dicovered what caused my cancer. We went right to her OBGYN and had her tested. Her DR told her he has been tseting for STD every yeard she goes for a check up as part of routine exam--she tseted negative.
