I've been taking Arimidex for 2 years now. In the beginning I had sore muscles and hot flashes. They have all gotten better. No symptoms of any sore muscles or hot flashes. I do have considerable fatique but much of that is from taking Corestor for high cholesterol. I do not take that poison any longer. It about killed me. I too, like you did not care to take arimidex, but I also had one lymph node out of ...

I'm the person who reported here last year about having a pain free mastectomy plus 11 lymph nodes removed - one node was cancer positive. Started on Arimidex in September 2014 and had a few puny days, but over that now. I've also had 2 injection of Prolevia, the first one in my arm which stay quite sore for sometime. Received the 2nd. injection in my stomach which was much better - no soreness at all. The rea...

Hello. I had a mastectomy last July and I'm now taking Arimidex. I've had no Chemo or Radiation. 11 lymph nodes were remove, one with cancer. The surgery was painless and Arimidex only made me feel sick a few days after I started taking it. In April of this year I had a mini stroke. Spent 1 week in hospital and 1 week in rehab. I still have a very week left arm and when I get tired my left food wants to drag...

Why do you say Arimidex not not be working after 7 years. Has your Cancer returned? I'm doing very well with Arimidex. I've had a few days of "puny" feelings, but nothing to worry about. I've lost 20+ pounds but have also stopped eating most sweets. It's been over 6 months since my mastectomy. Glad you have felt well through all of the trying times.

Hi Jan: Gosh, that seems like a very long time for drains. Mine were in for 5 days but then I had asperation 5 times after about week apart. The first 90 days after surgery is included in the doctors surgery fee, so maybe he doesn't care to bear the expense of asperation. I didn't have radition or chemo - just taking Anastrozole every day and Prolia injection twice a year. Good luck.

Hi April: I'm very surprised as I was offered a bilateral with my mastsectomy in July. I chose not to go with it but thought Medicare coved it. I'm 79 so I don't believe it has to do with age. Did you check it out in your Medicare Guide? Good luck.

Hi: I started on Anastrozole, a form of Arimidex in Sept. So far I've had no side effects either other than a few face flushes whice lasted for about 1 month. I have had a very easy recovery from stage 2 EP BREAST cancer surgery. So, don't think the Arimidex is not working. My doctor told me that very few people have side effects from the little white pill. People usually only write the bad results as they do...

Hello Amy: I know you are scared having found a lump in your breast. Please get it checked as soon as possible.  I too found a small lump in my breast the end of June, 2014.  I asked my husband if I should wait a couple of months before seeing my GP as I thought the lump would go away or it was a cyst.  He insisted I go to the doctor the next morning.  My doctor said it was "probably nothing just...

Started the Arimidex 11 days ago and so far so good. No noticable side effects. As my doctor said, " You will never know unless you try it". I hope I continue to do fell well and this is the answer for me to beat this disease. I'm very sorry so many of you feel so terrible taking Arimidex (Anastrozole). I just wish everyone could feel as well as I do. It puzzles me that the med does so much damage to one's b...

I'm sorry you are having so much pain and unable to take something for it. I don't believe I have high tolerance for pain as I had a good size sliver removed from my thigh and once the numbness wore off it was like my leg had been cut off. Also 14 months ago I had a full hip replacement and it is just starting to settle in and not hurt. Also had fluid drained from my knee just before we left on this trip. The PA...
