hi, im sorry to hear about youre brother in law, this diagnosis is devastating. i am 40 y/o male who was diagnosed june 2010 with gallbladder cancer spread to the liver and lymph nodes. i too was told the outlook sucked i had surgery at the mayo clinic where they removed the gall bladder/resected my liver and removed the lymph nodes. upon returning home after having the surgery my oncologist was still very negative and i did win out and get  chemo. i have since finished 6 cycles of gemcitabine/cisplatin for a mop up and am feeling very good .

Hi Maria,

you are not alone with this type of cancer, there are many of us out there . The statistics that you find are outdated .Maudsie and Lily 50 are survivours, they probably can give you the best information but there is many more of us undergoing treatment.
