Hi, I've written about my father's mouth cancer (jawbone stage 4, squameous cell carcinoma) treatment a couple of times here. A quick update would be that he's doing quite fine and we're focussing on his diet a lot these days. He's still on semi-solid-liquid diet since the mandible still doesn't open wide enough. He has pain even when he tries to chew even the soft food, and there is a small bit of swelling around t...

It seems like the radiation has kind of limited Dad's mouth opening and also led to continuous jaw bone pain. I don't know if it's a side effect from the treatment that will never go away or the cancer that is still in there (chemo & radiation took some away, but not all) that is causing the constant pain. He had SCC in the jaw that went on to erode his mandible. He's on cannabis oil and I won't say that it hasn...

Has anybody had experience in trying and healing from the Cannabis Budwig Protocol? Any comments or ideas please.

Hi, My father is due for his PET scan end of this month. He had SCC jaw bone cancer stage 4. Doc says there is still residual growth a little. I am skeptical about doing CT scans, PET and MRI anymore as they use sugar for the contrast imaging and we know sugar feeds cancer! He is now turning towards alternative options to treat what is left as the radiation has been too tough on him. No surgery for us. Can anybody s...

@Helena57: I wish I had advice for you, but I guess I'm not there yet. Dad's treatment is just about starting here. But from what I have read and learnt, you can take a breather now that the surgery has happened! That is always the preferred, if not best way to treat oral cancer. While it is no guarantee, it does mean that you have tried to take the cancer out of its origin. Hopefully, radiation will clear away the r...

@Ivans human: Dad is 65yrs old. He did not/does not have Tardive Dyskinesia. He did'nt really have peculiar symptoms, in fact he was quite normal which is why we never thought it was cancer. But in the meantime, it had already eaten half of his jawbone. His mouth ulcers inside weren't too big either. Its only when he started having difficulty in chewing, there was significant inflammation on the outside and the jaw ...

Thank you for your response Susan. It is squameous cell carcinoma that has invaded the mandible causing jawbone cancer. As an update, the doctors suggested chemo first to see if surgery would be possible. So he's had two rounds of chemo and is doing okay, other than the usual side effects of fatigue and loss of apetite. I fear the side effects of radiation though, esp when it comes to the head and neck cancers.. Is ...

My father has been diagnosed with cT4bn1/2 jaw bone cancer. We went for three opinions. The first suggested palliative chemo and radiation. The next suggested chemo and surgery if possible, otherwise continue with RT/CT. The third said both approaches wanted to stabilise the cancer and not cure it. By the time we could decide further, we had to rush him to the neraby cancer hospital when his jaw and tongue started ac...

My father has stage 4 jawbone cancer. He's had his first chemo and the docs will let us know if a surgery is possible after his second cycle. We don't know if the surgery will be possible or not, and if it is the best solution, considering his age and health. Also, after reading how much damage orthodox methods do to the body, I've been keen on using alternaive methods. Any suggestions for the right protocols and me...
