My mom has been experiencing a lot of nausea lately. It's been pretty bad for about 2 months. We thought it was the chemo she was on(GTX-C) but she has been off that for 2 weeks now and she is still nauseous. I mention gastroparesis to her dr so reglan was prescribed. She started that yesterday. It helped most of the day but she became very nauseous again last night. Feeling like that all the time has completely dimi...

Anyone experience blood clots in lungs? My mom has been short of breathe and tonight experience bad chest pain. She went to the ER , a CT scan was done, and blood clots were found in both her lungs. Is this a treatable condition? I'm scared that this will end up killing my mom... Between her lung mets and the blood clots her breathing has really been compromised and her quality of life is going down hill. She has fou...

My mom had a scan on Monday. Her local oncologist wanted a new one before she starts GTX-C. The scan was not good; her lung mets have grown considerably in just a few short weeks. There is also a suspicious sub-centimeter spot on her liver. Her CA19-9 is also at an all time high of 1500. Her cancer seems to be getting increasingly aggressive. I am scared that the GTX-C combo won't be able get the cancer under control...

My mom was diagnosed with stage 4 PC with mets to her lungs back in April 2014. We have been battling this beast for nearly 20 months and my mom is doing very well. Unfortunately, in these 20 months we have gone through FOLFIRINOX and Gemcitabine/Abraxane. She also enrolled in the GVAX/Listeria trial but unfortunate was randomized to the single agent chemo arm, so she has also been given xeloda. Her lung nodules have...

Has anyone tried this regimen? Any successes? My mom may be starting this regimen, and it would be her 3rd combo. Anyone have any luck with 3rd line treatments?

My mom has had pale colored stools for the last 36 hours. She has no other symptoms at this time. Could this just be a sign of her stent failing or is it likely the tumor is growing? Could pale colored stools be caused by anything else? I'm getting worried...

No she never received gemzar alone, but in the beginning she did miss a couple of treatments due to her blood counts. I worried too but I think it is normal to miss a treatment here and there.

My mom was dianosed 18 months ago with stage 4 PC with mets to her lungs. She started out with folfirinox. She completed 2 rounds. Her scan showed growth in her lung nodules. Her CA19-9 also increased, reached an all time hight of 486. Her oncologist switched her to G&A. She tolerated this regimen much more. She also had an amazing response to it. Lung nodules shrunk with every scan, tumor in pancreas is down to ...
