Dandelion Root Tea

by jlpetrie - November 05, 2015

Hi,

I am wondering if anyone here has tried (or has had a family member try) dandelion root tea? Apparently it has produced good results in individuals with advanced cancers. In fact, there are clinical trials underway at the University of Windsor to explore its usage. In lab settings it triggers aptosis in cancer cells (i.e., kills cancer cells).

SCLC Recurrence Advice

by jlpetrie - October 28, 2015

Hi,

I am wondering if any SCLC patients, survivors or their families can assist. My mother was diagnosed with SCLC in February of this year and has since gone through the standard chemo, chest radiation and PCI. At the time of diagnosis, the tumour appeared to be limited to one lobe. Unfortunately, she has had issues regaining her appetite and strength since this treatment and will need to get stronger before any additional chemo/radiation can occur (we are starting to get indications of recurrence and spread). She is in her mid-sixties and normally is quite strong physically. Does anyone had any advice to assist in this matter, based on their own personal experience?
