Now it has returned much bigger, it looks like a cancer sore, it is white, painful to the touch or while eating, basically a white bum...

Hello all, so my mom is almost 7 months post tonsil cancer treatment. For few days now my mom has been experiencing slight pain during swallowing. The pain comes and goes. We just saw her doctor 2 weeks ago and everything looked fine then as per the doctor. Is it possible for the pain to be a side effect from the treatment for that long, or is it something new? Her tongue never got completely healled, it's been very ...

my mom had exactly what your husband, left tonsil with one lymph node. No chemo, radiation treatments after for 6 weeks I think. Her first CT and PET scan was done 3 months after treatments and it was all clear! (thank you God). We go for a scope check up every month, we have a visit tomorrow. I am always a nervous wreck before each appointment although everytime it gets better, we just got used to them I g...

Hi Beltzh, normally doctor's wait for about 3 months before doing any scans post treatment so it sounds early too me cause it may show false positive. However all doctors are different, stay positive, I'm sure he is fine, will be praying for you guys. Good luck!

Hello, has anyone experienced tounge uclers that lasted more then 3 months post radiation after tonsil cancer? my mom has it for almost 3 months now, it is very painful, it does not get worse or better, doctor said to wait longer before doing biopsy. What's weird is that the ucler is on the side of her tounge, more towards the front not on the base. Would it be possible for the cancer to spread there? her recent...
