  Hi! No he hasn't had it resected. He had so many complications after the initial surgery in October that I doubt that a resection is even on the drawing board right now. Do they often require a resection when they see the necrosis? Thanks for your input. Kelli

  Good Morning everyone, A quick question. My husband had his first MRI after radiation (7 weeks later) and they told us that they cannot make out the scan completely because of possible "radiation necrosis". There is literally a vacant spot on his scan where they were doing the radiation.   Does anyone know if this treatment will be available soon for more clinical trials? GBM patients are living on short time frames, so if something is coming up we need to act quickly to get these tumors under control and hopefully gone. My husband has GBM and we are ready to fight it but we need get answers asap.

  My husband started this month the 5 day on massive amounts of temodar and 3 weeks off. Going in on Tuesday for the MRI result. My question is, if the tumor is growing back, is Avastin the next step? I question this for various reasons. Just turned 50 3 weeks prior to diagnose.  I didn't realize that the Beva doesnt come as a pill form like the temerol. I guess that will mean daily trips to the hospital.
