OMG, Yes... Couldn't eat or drink things that I liked and ate routinely for years, BUT, boy did I have  odd strange cravings. Captain Crunch! Which I had not had in over 30 years and Starburst. I may have tried a Starburst 2 or 3 times in my 50+ years. Toasted bagels with American cheese. I wish my cravings would have been healthier and more nutritious....but at least I ate something.

I'm not a doctor, and everyone is so different. There are many many things that can cause all the symptoms that you are experiencing, some can minor, a bacterial or viral infection. I think this was the direction your doctor was going in. I too experienced symptoms similar to yours. I started with a general feeling of malice, loss of weight, sweats at night... I never had ANY swollen lymph nodes. I went from speciali...

Can Labs appear normal???? ABSOLUTELY! For me it was over a year that I was not feeling well. My test all appeared normal with the exception of inflammation in my colon and an extremely elevated ANA in my blood work. The ANA is an inflammatory marker.  5 months after a Rheumatologist, Infectious Diseas Specialist, Gastroenterologist and a full screening with a top Hematology Oncologist.....things came to a head ...

I don't want to upset you, but yes, blood work can not always tell you what is going on in your body! After having symptoms similar to yours for a short while it was recommended by my doctor that I see a Hematologist Oncologist. I went in January and had all types of blood work and was relieved when I was told 2 weeks later all was good. " Not a single malignant marker could be found"...... Mid June I had my brother ...

Sorry to hear your mom is plagued with fatigue. The best thing for her is a good diet and lots of water to help flush out her system. A blood test may help in determining if there are some other issues going on in her body. Chemotherapy can cause quite a few vitamin deficiencies during treatment. I'm post chemo almost 3 years now and I still have problems with fatigue, but NOTHING like what I experienced during treat...

At this stage there should have definitely been some blood tests. I would be looking for another oncologist! Good luck to you and your mom. Sending out a prayer.

I know it's been a while since you've posted your question on this forum and no one has replied to you.... sorry, not the best forum to be on. I'm assuming your father had some type of a rash or shingles. The cancer and the treatment beat up the immune system and this is fairly common. I too had lymphoma and I found great comfort and lots of support and answers on cancerforums.net. You should check it out! The people...

Dear green2blue,  I am so sorry for the loss of your mom. I've been down that same road and I know that there is not much that anyone can say or do that can take away the heartache that comes at this time. You were there with her and saw the pain that she endured day after day. Know that she is no longer in pain, but in peace. Take time to heal and remember that she loved and appreciated all you did.... now you...

I had a mediport for two years. It is small and did not affect or prohibit any of my movements. I cannot imagine it in any way causing any type of problems for him. I used it for my chemo and blood transfusions. I could not imagine doing all this intravenously. Everyone's treatment is different and the port worked best for me. My chemo treatments ran five days straight, around the clock, every third week for four mon...

OH BOY, IT SOUNDS LIKE THERE IS DEFINITELY SOMETHING WRONG WITH YOU!!! AND YOU SHOULD DO MORE RESEARCH ON LYMPHOMA. THERE ARE MANY THAT CAN KILL YOU. I HAVE A RARE FORM OF NHL....DON'T WISH FOR SOMETHING YOU CAN'T HANDLE. MAYBE YOU NEED TO SEE A DIFFERENT TYPE OF DOCTOR, NOT AN ENT? GOOD LUCK
