Agree with all the above.  Remember your old skin is basically gone so your flesh is unprotected.  Be super careful of your face and aware of its vulnerability!

I just wanted to stay up to write to you and encourage you.  I didn't post pictures, but my face looked like someone set a blow torch to it. Hang in there! You're not alone! Just follow the doctor's instructions as they won't have you doing this longer than you need to. The pain is horrific! But since you've come this far don't quit now. You don't want to start all over again, do you?  Don't worry about wha...

Believe me, you'll know!!  I looked so hideous I covered my face and shopped at night.  Depends how you react and where on your body you apply Efudex.  I didn't want to scare children so I kept myself hidden.  Good luck.  Trust me, you'll know.

Well, I hope you're right.  My skin still is blotchy and I have bumps and orange-peel looking skin I never had before.  I hate to be vain, but I'm not happy when I look in the mirror.  And I certainly can't imagine torchuring myself multiple times.

Several months have passed and my skin is still not its normal color. Just my opinion, but I wonder whether this Efudex thing is a current dermatological trend/fad.  Never heard of it before, but now several people I know are being prescribed this treatment. I went in for my checkup a week after the 4-week treatment and the derm doc saw a new bump and took a sample scraping for the lab. Before I could spell my n...

Hey, Everyone, thought I would post my experience starting Week 3.  It is true that the pain really starts after 2 weeks. My face definitely looks like a burn victim and I got a cold sore by the side of my mouth.  The good news is that the pain is really intense for only 10-15 minutes and I found that using a fan really helps. Go to Dollar Tree and get a $1 hand fan like those Japanese fans.  The cool ...

Thanks for your answer.  It's awesome to have this support group.  You just don't have to feel ALONE in this. Friday will be my 2-week entry and I expect the bomb to drop after that. Hope I can help someone along the way.

Did Efudex make you tired? I find I just don't have the same energy and tire easily.
