I had my wide local excision a month ago, when i went back for the results of the node biopsy the surgeon noticed the painful swelling, he told me that it was fluid in the space the tumour occupied and that the body would absorb the fluid. I was quite sceptical but low and behold it has started to go slowly just like the surgeon predicted.

My husband was diagnosed with stage 4 Pancreatic Cancer July 2014, he was given 6 months to live. We were horrified thinking would everyday be the day. He is on Gem/Abrax, although he is now suffering with neuropathy feet and fingers and his mobility has suffered because of it. Our Oncologist has altered his treatmentto 2 on and 1 off. instead of 3 on 1 off. It looks as if the neuropathy is here to stay.

My husband stage1V has been on Gems/Abraxane. He is 23 months on ongoing chemo PC. Over the last month he has been suffering loose bowel motions and lack of appetite as it was in the begining of his illness. The Oncology dr has taken away abraxane and lowered the Gem, and instead of 3on 1 off he has amended it to 2on 1off and increased his Creon. He has lost more weight and it is worrying, no food just Ensure. A...

I had a bit of a meltdown last night, the whole cancer thing got to me. I was very upset about losing Tommy and all the news I had to take on board with my diagnosis, I told my daughter that I was going to ring Jenny my Macmillan nurse, then just out the blue she rang me as like magic. I told her I had been overwhelmed and was afraid of the pain, she said "you would not be in pain", that would be seen to. I told her...
