Lisa, my name is Beth and I follow some of Connie's posts. My husband has stage IV small cell lung cancer.  He has responded well to early treatment but there were two areas of metastasis on his last PET scan recently.  He sees his oncologist in two days.  Each day with him is a gift.  I will pray for you.  I am so sorry to hear about your daughter.  What you are undergoing is a huge bur...

Connie, thank you for your support.  I am glad you and your husband were able to take the time to go to see your son. My husband is at his oncology clinic this morning.  Like you, reality is not my friend.  Thinking about the future is awful.  I try to do my best to suck it up and be tough. You are blessed to have children and grandchildren; I have none. I have been reading the Bible this past ...

My husband has stage IV lung cancer.  After his initial chemotherapy with Carboplatin and Etoposide, his lung cancer spread to his pancreas.  He just began a new chemotherapy drug called Taxotere.  It is a drug that is given by infusion once every three weeks for a total of three infusions.  Are three infusions enough?  Has anyone been on Taxotere for lung metastasis to other parts of the bod...

Hello and thank you for responding to my message.  As I wrote previously, my husband has stage IV lung cancer, small cell, that has metastasized to his pancreas.  His initial chemotherapy was with Carboplatin and Etoposide, and at that time the mets to the pancreas had not yet occurred.  Now, because of his new pancreatic mets, he just began a newer drug called Taxotere.  He gets an infusion of th...

Connie, thank you for your response.  My husband has stage IV lung cancer that has now metastasized into his pancreas.  The thought of being without him makes my life so worrisome.  It's funny, but I think about things like, if I need a new hot water heater, who will put one in?  I wonder about getting a flat tire while driving by myself and what would I do.  The smallest things frighten me s...

My husband has stage IV lung cancer.  His chemotherapy was Carboplatin and another drug.  Now, he has lung cancer that has metastasized to his pancreas.  Is primary pancreatic cancer treated with the same chemo drugs that would be used to treat lung cancer that has spread to the pancreas?  Is primary pancreatic cancer the same cancer as lung cancer that has spread to the pancreas? lharrell22250

My husband has stage IV lung cancer.  He was told in early June that he was in remission. His most recent PET scan showed that he has metastasis to the entire tail of his pancreas.  Has anyone had CyberKnife treatment for cancer in the pancreas?  Please help me with an answer if you are able. I awake in fear every morning, unable to function from feeling overwhelmed. Beth

Sandy, God bless you during these troubling and extremely worrisome times.  My husband was diagnosed wtih stage IV small cell lung cancer at the end of November, last year.  My dear cousin also has cancer.  He lives in Seattle and has been to every hospital and clinic there for treatment.  I will send him an email in a few minutes asking him for all the news regarding the Seattle Cancer Care Allia...

(Dear Friend, My husband also has stage IV lung cancer. I, too, cannot believe that this is happening to us. My husband and I have only been married for 11 years (I am 65 and he just turned 70) and we were supposed to grow old together too. When I think about being without my husband it is so frightening because I do not have children to lean on. My husband is my rock, and he is everything.  He is supposed to be...
