Caregiver
Brain Cancer

Rob had visual disturbances 9/08, latter dx as seizures, an MRI revealed 2 tumors that were initially thought low grade. After a wait and see period he had a right medial temporal lobe biopsy and the horrid dx multifocal GBM. He has had standard 30 days rad. and tem., 9 months of 5/23 temador, 9 infusions of avastin, two separate 11 days of stereotactic radiotherapy. As of 12/08 and the follow up mri found a 6th. tumor now on his brain stem. We were told by Jefferson that there are no more treatments available there and referred Rob to the National Cancer Institute for, hopefully, a clinical trial that may stop the progression. Rob had one treatment at NCI. He was paralysed on the right side, could not speak. My sweet prince left this life and this battle on January 13, 2010. He was in hospice for less than 2 weeks. He will be forever missed and loved. His tumor found in Sept. 08 and his battle ending 1/13/2010.
